51 former intel officials claimed the laptop was "Russian disinformation." Now we learn more

The post below is edited from a column by Jonathan Turley in the NY Post.  It concerns the infamous letter signed by 51 retired intel officials claiming the Hunter Biden laptop story was FAKE--"Russian disinformation."

Okay, technically the letter said "the story has all the earmarks of Russian disinformation," but everyone who heard the Media report on the letter immediately translated it to "Russian disinformation."

But it wasn't.  The laptop was authentic, belonged to crackhead Hunter and contained tens of thousands of incriminating emails to and from Hunter, detailing millions of dollars in payments from foreign companies, and Chinese companies, that were clearly bribes.

Such gross corruption should have been a huge scandal.  And biden knew it was authentic.

The laptop story broke just three weeks before the presidential election, on October 14, 2020.  The letter claiming the laptop was "Russian disinformation"--meaning the story was false--appeared just four days later.  Obviously someone worked VERY fast to save biden's election.

Armed with the fake "Russian disinformation" letter, and helped by a fawning media, Biden was able to dismiss the damning evidence of bribery and other criminal conduct shown on the laptop.

Days later during the presidential debate with president Trump, an irate Biden cited the letter as proving that the laptop story was “garbage” and part of a “Russian plan.” He added that “nobody believes” that the laptop was real.

Media and social media companies then buried the story. Fakebook and pre-Musk Twitter went so far as to delete user posts mentioning the story of the laptop.

But the laptop was authentic. What was fake was the letter claiming it was "Russian disinformation."

Finally, around five months after the election, the Washington Post finally got around to hiring experts to analyze codes that could authenticate emails on the laptop.  They found the emails were authentic.  But predictably, the Post didn't apologize for its sneering dismissal of the laptop story back before the election, when it would have made a difference.  Democracy died in the Post's darkness, eh?

Since then other Media outlets have quietly agreed that the laptop is indeed authentic, not "Russian disinformation."  But of course it's far too late.  Every injury our nation has suffered at the hands of the biden regime would have been avoided if the fake letter hadn't swung the election to biden.

And finally, just two weeks ago we learned who wrote the letter: a slimey former director of the CIA, Mike Morell.  We learned that because Morell testified before congress and admitted it.

Of course you heard about that, right?  Sure you did.

Morell testified that he wrote the letter at the request of then-biden-advisor Tony Binken (who Porridgebrain quickly appointed to the hugely prestigious post of Secretary of State).  And here the plot thickens, because Blinken just appeared on a Sunday news show and denied asking Morell to write the letter.

Let me repeat that, cuz most of ya don't really get it:  the laptop story was a huge bombshell, and would likely have caused biden to lose.  The campaign needed some serious damage control, and fast.  So the letter claimed--falsely--that the laptop story was "Russian disinformation."  And the author of that lie claims Biden campaign adviser Blinken asked him to write it--knowing that it was NOT Russian disinformation.

But Blinken insists that he did NOT ask Morell to write the letter falsely claiming it was Russian disinformation.

The letter is one of the most brazen, calculated lies ever planted in the midst of an election cycle.  All Americans should want to know who suggested the letter that arguably resulted in biden's election.

Blinken will never admit his role, but we can evaluate whether he can be believed if we find he's told other lies to protect Joe by protecting joe's son.

Turns out that during his confirmation hearing for the SecState post, Blinken told the U.S. senate he never emailed Hunter. Yet authenticated messages on the laptop show he did.

After the Republicans won a razor-thin majority in the House, they called former CIA Director Morell to testify about the origin of the letter.  Morell said Blinken asked him to wite it, but added that he wanted to help biden win the upcoming debate and the election.

More precisely, Morell said Blinken was “the impetus” for the letter falsely claiming the laptop was "Russian disinformation."  He said Blinken “triggered” his interest in crafting the letter.

Morell then asked dozens of former national security officials to sign the letter, which they were eager to do, despite having no direct knowledge of whether the laptop was authentic.

On Monday, Blinken told Fox News that “with regard to that letter, I didn’t — it wasn’t my idea, didn’t ask for it, didn’t solicit it. And I think the testimony that the former deputy director of the CIA, Mike Morell, put forward confirms that.”

Do you believe that?  And would it materially change the fact that Morell crafted a lie that changed the outcome of the 2020 election and saddled us with Porridgebrain?
