Democrats: "Too many murders is cuz civilians are allowed to own gunz!" Reality: "Take a look at this...

Hey citizen!  Did you know gunz kill pipo?  An' there are way too many pipo bein' killed by gunz, right?  But we Democrats know how to fix that, cuz we smaht!

All we need to do is...take gunz away from civilians!

See?  It's SO simple!

We Democrats woulda dun dis years ago, except duh Rethuglicans wouldn't let us do it.  So you need to blame duh Rethuglicans for all dem po' pipo killed by gunz!  

Yeah, no.  Not one of my guns has ever gotten up in the middle of the night and gone out and killed someone.  And that's true of 99.99% of all the other civilian-owned guns in this country.

What we have is NOT a "gun problem."  It's a "people problem."  More specifically, it's that a small minority of people use guns to kill others.  And they do it again and again, as predictably as the sunrise.

In 2019 the U.S. had an overall murder rate of about five per 100,000.  That same year Chicago had a rate of about 18 per 100,000.   

But in the 10 most dangerous neighborhoods in Chitcongo in 2019, it was over 60 per 100,000.  And the most dangerous neighborhood in that city (in 2019 it was West Garfield Park), the murder rate was 131 per 100,000.

Democrat: "Ah!  Clearly dis beez caused by contaminated drinking water!  Or maybe dangerous chemicals dumped in the soil by some long-ago company!  Yeh, dat's it!"

Yeah, you bet.

By huge contrast, in most neighborhoods the rate was zero.  If you widen the sample to the 28 safest neighborhoods in the city of Chicago that year, the total  murder rate was less than two per 100,000.

And in 2022, under the rule of Democrat biden and lesbian Democrat mayor Lori Lightfoot, Chitcongo's murder rate had risen to 24 per 100,000--up 33% in just three years.

Now:  Those damning numbers--which accurately reveal the problem as NOT gunz, but the people who use 'em to kill others--are readily discoverable.  But the Mainstream Media don't tell you, because they don't want you to know.  Because if you knew, you'd reject the Democrat Narrative, which is within a hair's breadth of confiscating civilian-owned guns--for a good cause, of course.

You're not stupid.  What you are is...uninformed.  

You could fix that if you wanted to.  But "it's too much trouble."  You're too busy.  Easier to just believe whatever the Mainstream Media tells ya on duh Newz.

After all, if NBC/CBS/ABC/NY Times/WaPo don't tell ya something, it didn't happen, right?
