A brief social history of the United States

In 1620, 130 Christians fleeing religious persecution in Europe boarded a boat to try to find freedom in the New World.

The journey lasted four harrowing months, enduring storms and rough North Atlantic seas before finally reaching Plymouth Rock.

Against all odds, with divine help, they survived--and eventually thrived. Four centuries later there are 35 million descendants of the Pilgrims.

The Pilgrims didn't bring either war or slavery to the New World.  Both were already here when they landed.  What was missing was Christianity, the divine intervention that taught "love thy neighbor as thyself."

For three centuries since they arrived, the descendants of the Pilgrims prospered, and with them, the nation.  But in the last century the devil has been busy destroying the fabulous principles our Founders put in place.  

At the start of the 20th century, Europe was the most civilized and advanced continent on Earth.  And Europeans proceeded to share their idea of civilization with much of the rest of the world, mainly through Christianity. Liberals sneeringly dismiss this achievement as horrible "colonization."  But if not for Christian Europeans the world would still be stuck in the ’50s — the 1450s.

The devil uses war to pit nation against nation. He used communism to turn Russia against God. Barely 20 years after World War One—a war so bloody that it was called "the war to end all wars"—a corporal injured in that war had risen to command Germany.  His party executed or starved two-thirds of Europe’s Jewish population, and millions of other people--civilian as well as military--were killed in the war.

But in the four years of WW2 (four years for the USA, at least), the allies defeated the devil in Europe and the Pacific.  And in the wave of relief and gratitude that followed, the 1950s were a Golden Age for America.  Led by returning troops grateful to have survived the war, Americans married and had babies.  Virtually everyone wanted to work, and there were lots of jobs, and homes in the suburbs.

We had good schools.  It was vastly different from today.

One can make the case that our fall since around 1965 has been the work of demons.  But the elites sneer that anyone who believes in demons or the devil is ignorant--or as Hilliary Clinton put it, "deplorable."  (Yes, young American, she actually said that.)  So here's a phrasing that might be more to the elites' liking:  Our fall has been caused by the deliberate, calculated policies of the Democrat party--the party of legalizing deadly drugs, crime, open borders, big government and indoctrination in schools.

And it all happened so incredibly fast.  

Democrats love big government.  No doubt by total coincidence, the devil also loves big government, because as Lord Acton said, “Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely.”  This is useful to the demons because corrupt rulers are far more likely to invoke demonic power to maintain their position.

Drugs are another favorite of the devil.  After the Rolling Stones were busted for drug possession, none other than the editor of the Times of London wrote an editorial pleading for leniency.  The piece was titlled, “Who Breaks a Butterfly on a Wheel?”

That imagery is heartbreaking--as intended.  Using the emotional imagery is the devil’s logic--heavy on emotion and virtually bereft of reason.  You wouldn't have expected the editor of the esteemed Times of London to defend the use of illegal drugs, eh?  But elites all over the world have relentlessly pushed to legalize all drugs, no matter how deadly or destructive to society.

For young readers, let me explain that last: Before 1960 or so, virtually every adult knew that heroin (to use just one example) was deadly for both users and society, because users quickly became addicted to the rush.  If you'd inherited millions that was just your problem, not society's.  But addicts without wealth quickly turned to theft to be able to buy the drugs they demanded.  It was a prescription for social carnage, so rational leaders outlawed most addictive drugs.

But then cunning revolutionaries pointed out that some drugs, like alcohol and tobacco, which were known to have addictive power, had managed to remain legal.  They claimed this was hypocritical--and the stage was set for the Democrats to legalize every formerly illegal drug.

If you want to see where that has led (spoiler: you don't), google "Kensington Avenue."  That's a street in Philadelphia, which was once a great city and arguably the birthplace of our nation.  Today Kensington Avenue looks like a third-world nation.

Thanks to the Democrats' push to legalize drugs, in just 50 years we've gone from Dem-ruled states de-criminalizing small amounts of pot to agencies of the federal government, under Dem rule, giving addicts syringes and crack pipes to help them get high.  

When conservatives reported that story, the regime agencies doing it falsely denied doing it--because Democrats knew that truth would anger most voters.  But the Media published the false denials as truth, and the story vanished.  Interesting.

The number of former vices legalized by governments since the 1950s is staggering.  The supreme court declared abortion was legal.  The government went from shutting down numbers runners to running the biggest  numbers game in history, called Lotto.  Dozens of states have legalized pot use, which voters approve because advocates claim the state will reap billions in taxes.  And of course the pushers always say the money will go to fund schools.  Who could possibly object to funding schools, eh?

In 1962 the Supreme Court banned all prayer in public schools.  Later, lower courts would even outlaw having a "moment of silence" to start the school day.

At that point the devil had a license to teach.

Look at public education today:  As anyone with a functioning brain can see, in most big cities public education is a joke.  Corrupt state "Education Departments," school boards and teachers' unions have turned public schools into indoctrination centers--and many parochial and private schools have followed suit.

Currently, thousands of crazy teachers--proudly putting videos of themselves on Tiktok--are busily convincing their students that they're really trapped in the wrong body, and need to stand up for their "rights"--which is a huge con: No one claiming to be the opposite gender is denied the right to play school sports, or vote, or sit on a jury.  What the trannies demand--by claiming it as a right--is that they be allowed to use the bathroom and locker room of the opposite sex.  Oh, and the souls of your children.

If you want to see how far we've fallen, consider this: Biden himself--officially "the president"--has said kids as young as SEVEN must be allowed to "transition" if they want.  He's instructed his department of "education" to force all schools to allow trannies to use facilities of the opposite sex.  This is from the nominal leader of this nation.  Not sure we can recover from this.

The devil has saddled Christians with a two-party system: One party always supports his goals.  The other is a Republican party whose so-called "leaders"--like the corrupt Ronna McDaniel--are  afraid to challenge the Democrats on social issues.

Say what you will about president Trump, but at least he doesn't seem to be afraid to challenge the Democrats.

The devil seeks to separate us from God, and to create chaos.  To divide us by our tribes.  He succeeds thanks to the able assistance of people like Barack Hussein Obama, Joe Biden, the CEO of Disney and thousands of other so-called "elites."  

And at this point, the "elites" seem to be winning.
