FBI released Trump shooter's body for cremation w/o notice, and before it could be autopsied

Rep. Clay Higgins (R-LA) is part of the House committee investigating the assassination attempt on president Trump on July 13th.  And he said he's found some VERY strange things:

Higgins said as part of the official investigation he asked to examine Crooks' body, only to be told that the shooter’s body was “gone” and that “the FBI cleaned up biological evidence from the crime scene.”

“My effort to examine Crooks’ body on Monday, August 5, revealed that the FBI had released the body to the family 10 days after the shooting,” the congressman said.  The family immediately had the body cremated.

“The FBI also cleaned up biological evidence from the crime scene, which is unheard of. Cops don’t do that, ever,” the congressman asserted in his report. “And the FBI was fully aware of the fact that Congress would be investigating.”

“The FBI does not exist in a vacuum,” Higgins added. “They had to know that releasing the crime scene would injure the immediate observations of any following investigation.”

“This pattern of investigative scorched earth by the FBI is quite troubling.  A reasonable man would see this as obstructing any following investigative effort.”
