"Consumer sentiment" index drops over 7% in a single month. Media: "Whut?"

Hey citizen!  Isn't the economy GREAT??  It's that "bidenomics" that everyone's talking about!  Price are dropping, wages are increasing, companies are hiring, more people are working--FAAABULOUS!

Hahahahahaha!  Just kidding!  Every statement above is horse shit.

For years the University of Michigan has compiled a "gauge of consumer sentiment."  A few days ago UM released its results for October.  The result was 63, down from 68.1 for a month earlier.  It's the lowest level since May, when the Lying Mainstream Media started bleating about how utterly faaaabulous "bidenomics" was.  

Of course since this is the first time you've ever seen this "gauge," you have no idea whether a 63 is good or bad, eh?  But if you can do math you quickly realize that a drop from 68 to 63 is a fairly serious hit--a drop of 7.5% in a single month.

Of course you still don't know whether this is reasonable or unexpected, so let's bring in our panel of "experts:"  Economists polled by the Wall Street Journal had expected a result of 67.4 for this month--a drop of barely one percent.  So the actual drop of 7.5% is seven TIMES what the "experts" predicted, eh?

Typical Democrat or Mainstream Media shill: "Dis' mean nuffin'!  Deez number beez totally arbitrary, meaningless!  Voters know not to pay attention to deez silly claims by some goofy university profs!  What matters is that prices for food and energy and housing are all WAY DOWN!"

Nice try, asshole.  All of those are UP, and headed higher.  But hey, believe the Media if you want.  After all, dey reeel smaht!  Dey knows shit!  Yew don't.  So when you buy ground beef at the store for six bucks a pound, and you have a very dim memory that a year ago it was $4.50 a pound, you believe the media instead of your own memory.
