Soros-elected DA in Philly implies that "looters" aren't really criminals at all. Whut??

Democrat Larry Krasner is a left-wing former public defender.  Thanks to huge donations to his election campaign by leftist George Soros, in 2017 Krasner was elected District Attorney for the city of Philadelphia.

Last week hundreds of never-described city residents of a particular ethnicity broke glass doors and plate-glass windows to get into dozens of stores, and grabbed tens of thousands of dollars of merchandise.  Much of the looting was caught on cell phone video and uploaded, or on surveillance cameras.

So how did the notoriously soft-on-crime Krasner respond?

He said his administration will find out whether violent looters who were caught on video are "fundamentally law-abiding people," meaning either no charges or charges pleaded down to jaywalking or similar, or if they were career crooks who joined the looting.

"We'll look carefully to see whether this is a one-off situation and they're fundamentally law-abiding people, hold them accountable one way," Krasner said, "or whether they are criminals and they are all about taking advantage of some sort of unrest.

Now here's the hoot:  Obviously ALL looting is a crime, eh?  But by the dick-head leftist DA saying "OR WHETHER they are criminals" Krasner implies that the "one-off" looters were NOT criminals, which allows him to avoid charging 'em--or charge but later drop charges, which is exactly what will happen.

The mass looting came as Philadelphia faces an unprecedented crime spike under the leftist Democrat Krasner.  Since he was elected DA, murders in Philly have skyrocketed: last year over 500 city residents were murdered.

During his campaign Krasner wailed that the city's "criminal-justice system" was too hard on minorities, and promised not to charge people for "minor" crimes.  During the 2020 George Floyd riots he called for de-funding the police.

Pennsylvania legislators were so outraged by his performance that in 2022 they moved to impeach Krasner, saying he "failed to prosecute violent offenders, withheld relevant facts in cases, and violated victims' rights."  So can you guess what happened?

The move to impeach him was "halted" by a Democratic judge.  See how neatly that works? Corrupt Dem judge intervenes to keep corrupt Democrat DA in office.  Thanks, Democrats!

Now, let's see how well you can predict the future!  It's really not hard if you have the historical statistics and an IQ above 90:

• How many looters do ya think DA Krasner will charge?
• How many of those charged will have their charges dropped due to the DA simply deciding not to prosecute *after* charging 'em?  (By charging a few it makes him look tough on crime, since only later will he quietly dismiss those charges--which won't be reported.)
• How many of those charge will receive "suspended sentences"?
• How many looters will conclude that all of the above shows--beyond doubt--that looting pays and won't result in any punishment?
• How many murderers will realize that Krasner isn't likely to prosecute them for actual murder, and will feel free to kill again?
• What effect will this have on the number of murders in Philly next year?

If there's no penalty for committing crimes, the only thing that keeps a person from committing crime is personal honesty and integrity.  And in case you haven't noticed, a lot of residents of big Dem-ruled cities don't have either.
