Crazy female Democrat rep has already introduced bill to mandate gun registration and require permit to own ammo
Last night I invited readers to predict how long it you thought it would take before the Democrats used their just-stolen total control of the government (presidency and both chambers of congress) to pass a law confiscating civilian handguns.
Turns out that a crazy leftist Democrat congress-creep has already introduced a bill in the House called HR127. Its caption reads
H.R.127 - To provide for the licensing of firearm and ammunition possession and the registration of firearms, and to prohibit the possession of certain ammunition.
Click on the link and see for yourself.
Interesstingly, if you click on "text" to find out what the bill actually says, here's what you see as of 1/10:
As of 01/10/2021 text has not been received for H.R.127. Bills are generally sent to the Library of Congress from the Government Publishing Office a day or two after they are introduced on the floor of the House or Senate. Delays can occur when there are a large number of bills to prepare or when a very large bill has to be printed.
Jackson-Lee introduced the bill on Jan 6th. Normally the text should have been sent to the Library of Congress in a day or two. I'm sure there's a "very good reason" for that.
But while we don't know the text yet, the title says the bill will require ("provide for" is so much less compulsive-sounding, eh?) the licensing and registration of "firearms," AND to require a license to possess ammunition; and to ban Americans from possessing "certain ammunition."
But hey, this bill prolly won't make it a RULE that every law-abiding citizen must declare every gun they own, since that would be the first, necessary step to confiscation. And even the crazy Democrats would never...um...wait, yes they would. And even if it did, it would never pass the senate, cuz the Republicans would filibuster and... Oh wait, the Dems say they're gonna eliminate the filibuster.
Wait, they can't do that, cuz how in the hell can one party eliminate a requirement for a 2/3 vote by the vote of a simple majority? Yeah, well...looks like you haven't been paying attention, cuz it's a senate rule, all of which can be changed by a simple majority. Which the Dems now have, thanks to the theft of the two Georgia senate seats.
Boy, that didn't take long, eh? And it's just beginning, citizen.
