75% of female students at U. Wisconsin-Madison say government should prosecute "hate speech"

In case you haven't been paying attention, the Left has been howling for many years that the government (and universities) punish anything the Left deems "hate speech."

The Left loves pushing this because the term "hate speech" is so wonderfully vague.  Elastic.  Meaning Leftists can define damn near anything as hate speech if uttered by a non-Leftist.  And of course the Left carefully avoids stating that they're the ones who get to define hate speech.

A recent survey at University of Wisconsin–Madison found that 75% of female students agreed that the government should be able to "punish" so-called "hate speech."

In particular, 40 percent of students agreed the government should be able to restrict the speech of anyone who stated a disagreement that the earth was warming dangerously, caused mostly by human activity--people the Left and the Lying Mainstream Media call “climate change deniers."

Only 47 percent of male students said they “slightly,” “somewhat,” or “strongly” agreed that the government should be able to restrict hate speech, while an astounding 75 percent of female students agreed with that statement.

One wonders how many of the males surveyed were persons of color.

In March of last year a survey by College Pulse found that 60 percent of students agreed that “offensive jokes can constitute hate speech.”  Of course ridiculing whites or Christians will still be perfectly fine.

Today’s college campus is tomorrow’s workplace and media environment.  The Left is readying the laws that will allow only one set of opinions to be expressed.  It's already true, of course, through the cancel culture and deletion of social media accounts of conservatives.  But it's about to be law.
