Senate draft report claims Team Obama lied yet again to congress and Americans about Iran

The Senate’s Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations has a draft report saying the Obama administration gave the government of Iran a license to access the U.S. banking system, despite promising congress that they wouldn't do that.

“On Feb. 24, 2016, the Treasury Department issued a specific license to Bank Muscat to authorize the conversion of Iran’s rials to euros through ‘any United States depository institution …,’” the draft report said. Even after the license was issued, Obama administration officials testified before congress testimony that the administration would not allow Iran to access the U.S. financial system.

“The Obama administration misled the American people during the negotiation of the Iran deal,” said Sen. Rob Portman (R-Ohio), subcommittee chairman. “I think they did so because they were desperate to get a deal.”

When the Obama administration signed the non-treaty treaty, Iran had $5.7 billion in assets at Bank Muscat in Muscat, Oman, in Omani rials, according to the subcommittee. Iran wanted to access that money, and using the U.S. financial system to convert it “was the most efficient means, even though U.S. sanctions prohibited it,” according to the report.

The senate report said officials of the Obama administration tried to convince two U.S. banks to help the mullahs convert their rials but both declined, citing the complexity and the negative publicity of aiding the Iranian regime.

Prediction:  This is the first of MANY lies Obama's hand-picked saboteurs to be revealed.  These will be discovered v e r y slowly over the next decade.  Democrats will deny the truth, but in reality the revelation that Obama sold out our national interest at every opportunity won't matter, because the Lying Mainstream Media will bury it, claiming it happened a long time ago so isn't really "news."
