How the Dems used an innocuous "non-discrimination" clause to force docs to do sex-change surgery

I want to show you how the Democrats take a seemingly harmless provision of a law and warp it to accomplish what they want.  In this case it's a provision of the so-called Affordable Care Act, but it happens all the time with any law the Dems can get their Deep State workers to warp for them.

Back during the reign of Emperor Obozo (He Who Could Not Be Impeached), the Democrats rammed through a law called the "Affordable Care Act," which Obozo was delighted to call Obamacare.  Buried in the 1500 pages of that monstrosity was a boilerplate section called "Section 1557" that said health care providers couldn't discriminate on the basis of "race, color, national origin, sex, age, or disability."

Sounds harmless, eh?  See anything in that phrase that would force doctors to perform sex-change surgery?  I don't either.  But the cunning sons of bitches running the Deep State realized they could warp this to force doctors and hospitals to perform sex-change surgery.  

So they had the Department of "Health and Human Services" issue a RULE:  Disguised as "harmoniz[ing] protections provided by existing, well-established federal civil rights laws" and "building on long-standing and familiar civil rights principles," [both of those are signals of a huge con coming up], HHS simply decreed that Section 1557 hereafter would add "gender identity" to the usual "race, color, national origin, sex, age, or disability" criteria.  

Literally.  It's a single sentence in the 6th 'graf, titled "Protection against sex discrimination."  

See, the trannies constantly scream that sex and gender are two entirely different things, eh?  But for the Dems, "sex discrimination" suddenly, magically includes gender, cuz for just this one moment they'll say the two are the same thing.

Clever, eh?  So with the press of a button, without a single vote, the Democrats created a new RULE.

So in May of 2016 HHS began implementing its created RULE forcing doctors to perform gender surgery on any patient--including children, and even if the doctor believed the procedure could harm the patient.  HHS also "interpreted" its made-up rule as forcing virtually all private insurance companies--and many employers--to pay for sex-change surgery (cunningly called "reassignment therapy") or face harsh legal action.

A Catholic order called Sisters of Mercy thought that was outrageous, and sued, claiming forcing doctors and hospitals to provide gender-transition surgeries violated their religious beliefs.  Finally, on the day before biden took office, a federal court agreed.

The biden regime appealed but in December of last year the Eighth Circuit ruled against the regime.  Finally the federal government appears to have given up, saying it won't appeal this latest decision to the Supreme Court.  Of course you'd be well advised not to trust that bleat from them.  The sons of bitches never give up, since they're playing with infinite taxpayer money.

Interestingly, in 2016 a different network of faith-based hospitals also sued to overturn the cunning RULE forcing docs to do sex-change surgeries.  And as in the Sisters case, the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals unanimously ruled against the regime--which declined to appeal that ruling too.

So sanity won this round.  But the point is that Deep State operatives can and DO take a phrase that clearly says and means X and turn it into Y.  They've been doing it for years, and they're very skilled at it.  Watch for it to happen again and again, because they usually win in court, in which case the RULE becomes equivalent to law.
