Deranged man threatens passengers on subway. Marine responds. Elites and blacks shriek
On May 1, on a subway in NYC a black man with a history of mental illness was angry. Jordan Neely had been arrested 42 times, including for punching a 65-year-old woman in June 2021 and a 67-year-old woman in November of that year.
For the dim-witted (which includes about half of this country), anyone who has been arrested 42 times has proven beyond any doubt that he cannot be trusted in society and should be confined either to a prison or a mental hospital. But because of your "wokie" Democrat rulers, Neely was free to threaten citizens as he wished, without fear of punishment or committal.
Witnesses said he was throwing around garbage and shouting that he was “fed up,” that he didn’t care if he went to prison for life, and that he was “ready to die.”
That kind of behavior would make any rational person apprehensive. And in this case a former Marine happened to be on the train, and with the help of other riders managed to subdue Neely and put him in a chokehold. Unfortunately the Marine squeezed too hard or held on too long, and Neely passed out and later died.
Neely did not deserve to die, of course. But most rational people would likely agree that when you start threatening others and acting like a dangerous lunatic, it's irrational to believe that's protected behavior.
Unfortunately, under the absolute rule of the Democrats, that's exactly what thugs think.
In this case an unarmed civilian, acting in reasonable fear for his safety and that of other passengers, worked with other passengers who had the same concern to restrain an unstable and seemingly dangerous man.
The unintended consequence was that that totally reasonable, justified defensive act resulted in Neely's death. And as a result, blacks and liberals in New York City are going nuts.
By contrast, when black thugs beat or kill whites-- maliciously and with no provocation—everyone just shrugs. There's no outcry for justice, no outrage when it's found that the thug had been arrested for dozens of similar attacks. Instead we've come to expect it. It's "the new normal."
Now take a look at how the dumb bastards in the Media are fanning the flames of dumb liberals and blacks:
CNN ran a story under the absurd headline, “Man killed in chokehold on NYC subway is remembered as an entertainer...” CNN quoted insane New York governor Kathy Hochul deliberately lying about the incident, claiming Neely "was killed for being a passenger on the subway train.”
Didja get that? "Killed for being a passenger on a subway." No, Kathy, that wasn't it--as you well know.
The usual “journalists” and "activists" are demanding that the Marine be charged with murder.
Democrats demanded that we stop institutionalizing known-dangerous mentally ill people. Now they implicitly demand that those same people be allowed to beat and rob and terrorize others at will, as they're rarely charged.
As always, Democrats are more concerned with the rights of thugs and miscreants than with the rights of law-abiding people to not be beaten or robbed or worse. Democrats refuse to consider re-opening mental institutions, or charging and imprisoning known-dangerous crazies.
So when, inevitably (and every day) a thug or lunatic beats or kills an innocent person, Democrats just shrug. Ah, but in the rare case when the thug is hurt or killed, they howl that whoever defended himself and others must be charged with a crime.
Interesting double-standard, eh? Welcome to Democrat-ruled America.
This is why we find ourselves at the mercy of thugs and psychos who threaten and bully us with impunity. Almost all unarmed people are scared to stand up to thugs or crazies who endanger us, and on those few occasions where someone like the Marine in this case is brave enough to stand up to the clear threat, Democrats rush to defend the thugs--with whom they have an obvious affinity.
The message from the "intellectual thugs" is clear: if you dare stand up to street thugs, we will punish you.
If we are to have any hope of reclaiming our cities and our nation from the thugs and crazies, we need to send a strong message to Democrat rulers and their "elite" supporters that the rights of ordinary, law-abiding citizens must take priority over the rights of thugs, junkies and just plain crazies.
In today's Democrat-ruled nation such a message seems revolutionary. Beyond the pale.
That normal, rational principle used to be so universally accepted, so uncontroversial, that it didn't need to be explicitly stated. Yet Democrat rulers give criminals with 42 convictions permission to openly sell addictive drugs, give drug addicts syringes and crack pipes, and even set up taxpayer-funded "safe injection sites" for junkies.
At the same time, liberal prosecutors in Democrat cities drop most charges against thugs. Some states have even passed laws allowing thugs to steal up to a thousand dollars without prosecution. (If caught, they get a ticket--which they don't pay.)
Democrat prosecutors routinely release muggers and rapists without making them post any cash bail. When the accused doesn't show up for trial the Democrat DA just shrugs: "We can't prosecute him if we can't find him."
In the end, if the demands of the black mob and their "elite" supporters in the media are met, and Daniel Penny is charged with murder for standing up to a clear threat, it will reinforce the Democrat demand that we must let black thugs threaten us as they please, we good men are forced to sit in silence lest they, like this Marine, be charged with a crime.
Is that the kind of society most Americans want? Democrats think it is, and strongly defend that insane arrangement.
By contrast, if good people rise up and reject the shrieks of the Democrats and elites who support the thugs, it will be sending a very different message to tens of thousands of thugs that when you threaten others and endanger their safety, you're risking your own life.
