State chapter of the nation's largest teachers' union hosts Drag Queen Story Hour at convention. Pay no attention

Dear Parents:

   You may have heard rumors--"disinformation"--that public-school teachers in some states are pushing transgenderism and homosexuality on your kids.

Let those of us who run the nation's largest teachers' union--the National Education Association--assure you this is utterly false.

It's true that the New Jersey chapter of the NEA had its annual convention four days ago (Nov. 11), and that the convention featured an “LGBTQIA+ Banned Books Drag Queen Story Hour,” but that had nothing to do with your kids. Instead it was merely a way for educators to “explore and express their intersectional identities.” 

See, just because we officers of the NEA think it's a good use of our members' time to host an “LGBTQIA+ Banned Books Drag Queen Story Hour” doesn't mean that lots of our members are gay or trans or push "gender-affirming surgery" or anything even remotely like that.  It's just that we wanted our members to be familiar with "gender diversity" and sexual diversity.  

We would never support doing anything that might be considered--by hysterical, barely-literate, religious-extremist, parents--as "grooming."  In fact we're not even sure "grooming" is a real thing.  Instead our research suggests that term is "hate speech" devised by ultra MAGA extremists to divide our nation--which is their main tactic.

You wouldn't want to be accused of "dividing our nation," would you?  Of course not.

It's also worth noting that the Attorney-General--the man who heads the nation's Department of Justice-- has declared that parents who decide to act out at school board meetings are domestic terrorists.

You wouldn't want to be accused of being a domestic terrorist, would you?  Of course not.

So we encourage you not to draw any conclusions about one state branch of our wonderful, diverse, Democrat-loving organization hosting a "reading and dramatic event" intended to support diversity, equity and inclusion.

Don't make us warn you again.
