San Francisco succumbs to Leftist policies--and the results are ghastly

San Francisco is a city conquered by the forces of destruction. The city has been invaded--conquered--by a mob of drug addicts, criminals and the mentally ill, all seemingly bent on destroying civilization.

In San Francisco today, anyone wanting to build apartments or open an ice cream parlor is treated like a public enemy.  By huge contrast, the city's rulers give everyone who wants to take illegal drugs the money to buy them, the paraphernalia to use them, and a room to consume them.

In 2021 the city had 252 deaths officially ruled as being due to Covid-19.  In response the city's Democrat rulers closed schools, imposed a lockdown, total masking, with the unvaccinated forbidden to enter most public places.

That same year 713 people died from drug overdoses--almost three times more than were ruled to have died from Covid.  So how did the Democrat rulers respond?  The District Attorney--with the total support of the Dem rulers--announced that his office would no longer prosecute public use of illegal drugs.

Local leftists wailed that prosecuting public drug use would be a violation of “bodily sovereignty.”  And the city's Democrat rulers continued to give druggies money to buy drugs and needles, and to run a tax-funded facility for addicts to inject those deadly drugs.

Hey, leftist logic, comrade.  

Organized "smash-and-grab" rings routinely loot high-end stores. When violent criminals are caught, they're rarely prosecuted because the leftist district attorney bleats that “Jails do nothing to treat the root causes of crime.”

Thousands of drug addicts and the mentally ill camp in public parks or on the sidewalks, assault passersby and defecate on those same sidewalks, or in the aisles of supermarkets.  The city's rulers respond by looking the other way.  Some even praise this behavior as a rebuke to capitalism.

Barbarians endlessly take, frequently break things, but never build. The difference between the barbarians destroying San Francisco and the Democrats who rule it is that the rulers have more money.

The ruling leftists claim up is down, that all "lifestyles" are equally valid and that morality is an oppressive construct of whiteness that should therefore be rejected.

If you aren't certain about the results of the Left's policies, walk around San Francisco for a few days.  One author sees it as “the end of civilization.”

It's impossible to avoid the conclusion that cities are a battleground between Leftists, with their ghastly policies, and rational people.   Those of us who want to live in clean, safe, beautiful cities are going to have to fight the Left for that.  To do nothing is to concede the cities to the Left.

Then again, it's quite possible there aren't enough conservatives left in the big Dem-ruled cities to reclaim them from the Leftists who have made them what they are today.
