ONE mainstream media outlet calculates that record inflation will cost your average family $5,200 this year

I've tutored university students in chem, physics, organic, calculus and economics for 37 years.  And in the last several years I've noticed a shocking increase in the number of students who can't tell me what 7 percent of 1000 is, or whether the fraction 68/137 is more or less than one.

Seriously.

So when news articles report inflation is at a 40-year high of 7.5% per year, I'm confident that the average American has no idea what that actually means for him or her in terms of higher costs for the same amount of goods.

Just one national media outlet--which usually supports Democrats--has published how much their calculations show this 40-year-high inflation will cost the average American family this year.

That source calculated that it will cost the average family an extra $5,200 this year alone.

Imagine you're a 20-something voter, either living with mom and dad or going to college on their dime.  Take $5,200 out of their pocket.  How is that likely to affect them-- and you?

Starting to understand yet?

Now here's the kicker:  This is the kind of news people absolutely need to know in order to determine whether Democrat policies are helping or hurting them.  But my guess is you won't see any other Mainstream Media outlets re-printing Bloomberg's "$5,200" number, since it would seem to hurt the Democrat party.

(For comparison, in 2020 inflation averaged 1.8 percent, or about one-fourth as high.  Hmm...anyone recall who was president in 2020?  Nah, I can't either.  Prolly don't make no difference, eh Karen?)

Now for the kicker:  Recall that above I noted that Bloomberg supports Democrats, so how can they publish this figure without hurting the Dem party?  Simple: the article stresses that this extra cost will NOT be a problem...BECAUSE "excess savings built up over the pandemic and increases in wages” will help to “cushion” the impact of the huge increase in inflation.

And Democrat voters will agree, because didn't everyone build up lots of savings during the lockdowns?  Especially voters whose businesses were ordered shut down by Democrat governors all over the country!  They built up HUGE savings, right?  I mean, here's a Media outlet specializing in financial reporting, so if they tell you Americans built up "excess savings" during the lockdowns, you'd think they'd know, right?

I also love their claim about "increases in wages."  Lawyers and bankers and teachers and government employees all got raises, but if you're not a member of one of those lucky groups, how much did YOUR wages increase during the plandemic, eh?

Bottom line is that Bloomberg found a way to get people to mostly ignore their calculations of the cost of inflation--by lying.  Typical Lying Mainstream Media.
