Stolen election, check; gun confiscation bill filed, check; govt ID needed for travel, check. Socialism, check.

Wanna see the future?

Actually you probably don't.  And in any case you wouldn't believe me if I told you, so hey...don' worry, be happy, eh?

Just kidding.  There's a young Russian YouTuber who's been filming in the socialist hell-hole of Venezuela for the past couple of years, and...you've gotta see it to believe it.  Don't be fooled by the foppish Brit voiceover; the guy's Russian, and has hired the VO because he wants Americans and brits to understand what he's narrating.

Ah, Venezuela: As recently as 1995 it had the highest per-capita income in Latin America.  Now it looks like a war zone.  Hard to get food or water, government troops everywhere, gangs of government-hired thugs are worse.  And all because 40 years ago the dumb bastards fell for a dictator who preached the joys of socialism--"free shit, comrade!"

You vote your way into it, but once the socialist elites are in, you can never vote your way out.  The only option is to overthrow the government, but since the first thing the socialist dictator did was to seize all privately-owned guns, that ain't possible either.

Literally, the only weapons available to the masses are a) rocks, and b) "molotov cocktails"--which even college-age Americans should know are hand-held firebombs, typically styrofoam dissolved in gasoline to thicken the mix and make it sticky.  Think low-tech napalm.

Of course there IS one other option for citizens trapped in a war zone: leave the country, and ten percent of former Venezuelans have done just that.  But for Americans, where do you go?  Canada, perhaps?  Maybe comrade Trudeau will let Americans in once the flag goes up, if the refugees have money.  Just remember that bank accounts and stocks will be...let's just say "temporarily frozen."

If you're wondering about why this should mean anything to you, never mind.

Just kidding.  Socialism is wonderful.  It's worked beautifully everywhere it's been installed.  Besides, how do you know the videos the Russian guy says are from Venezuela are really from there, eh?  Any minute now I expect the social-media regime will add the warning "This is Manipulated Media."

Besides, how do you know there IS a place called Venezuela?  Ever been there?  Yeah, didn't think so.  So if the Mainstream Media told you it was a paradise, how would you know, eh?
