Expect a law cracking down on "domestic terrorism" by March--really criminalizing anything the Dems don't like
If you pay attention you'll realize that in the last four days you've heard the phrase "domestic terrorism" repeated about 300 times by various media talking heads. And now Democrats are talking about quickly passing a law cracking down on it. It's a universal talking point now.
But if you think this idea was sparked by the protest in DC on Wednesday you're wrong: the Dems have been “talking about legislation” for weeks – even months. In fact, according to the Wall Street Journal Biden promised a new “domestic terrorism bill” way back in November
The phrase "domestic terrorism” has become the Dems' hot new meme-phrase, the primary talking point for this whole exercise. It was underlined in all the memos sent out to all the media outlets.
That’s why Joe Biden, in his speech following the riots, went to such lengths to distinguish between “domestic terrorists” and harmless, fluffy “protesters” like Antifa and BLM.
That’s why within 24 hours of Wednesday's protest, the Council on Foreign Relations had an interview with a “counter-terrorism and national security expert” published, arguing that the people who “stormed the capitol” were domestic terrorists.
That’s why the Washington Post has published an article arguing that the Capitol Hill protest was an act of “domestic terrorism”. As have Vox. And Mother Jones.
That’s why ABC had an article about how “domestic terrorism and hate crimes” were a growing problem in America…a week before Wednesday's demonstration.
And that’s why the hashtag #TrumpisaDomesticTerrorist is trending on Twatter.
Last September Georgetown University published a paper titled the “The Need for a Specific Law Against Domestic Terrorism”, and op-ed pieces bemoaning the lack of such a law have been dotted through the press going back to last summer and even late 2019.
You can expect a new law specifically targetting “domestic terrorism” by March, at the latest.
So what will this new law--supported by ever Dem--consider “Domestic Terrorism”? The answer, as you could guess, is "whatever the Dems want.” For example, with total control of both houses and no fear of a presidential veto, the bill could make it a crime to criticize any government action, branding such criticism terrorism.
How many things, for example, could be considered “incitement”? I expect “hate speech” will be banned, and possibly “climate denialism.” “Spreading misinformation,” certainly, and of course anyone who claims election fraud. That will be termed “questioning elections” or “attempting to overturn the will of the People. ”
Refusing to take the vaccine, or discouraging others from doing so, or indeed, merely pointing out deaths from taking the vaccine will be included. Also criticizing the Green New Deal or electric cars.
Yep. Democrats have become masters of the adage "Never let a good crisis go to waste."
