If a Trump supporter was found to have plotted to kill Joe Biden, it would have been top news for a week. But not this guy.

The Mainstream Media constantly lies--like trying to convince voters that the Russians "colluded" to help elect a pro-military conservative over the military-despising Hilliary.  Absurd on its face.

But most of the time, instead of brazen, outright lies, the media are more subtle: They mislead readers by putting a misleading headline on a story, and burying the truth far down in the story, past where they well know most people stop reading.

By leading with carefully-chosen facts the media advance the misleading narrative they’re selling. They lie by omission, or distract you with trivia.

Of course my liberal friends simply don't believe this.  They believe the media is unbiased, truthful.  Many even buy the socialist lie that because all the mainstream media outlets are owned by big companies, the media is biased in favor of conservatives.  I love that one.

So for my liberal friends, here's an example from two days ago, from that well-known "conservative" media giant, the Washington Post.

If a Trump supporter was arrested with a van full of guns and explosives, with a history of social-media posts about wanting to kill Joe Biden, do ya think that would be a huge story?  Think that would be headline news in the Post for at least a week?  Yeah, me too.  So when a man was arrested under exactly those circumstances, did you hear a single word about it?

No, you didn't. But surely, if someone was found with guns and explosives, and written posts and plans to kill the Democrat nominee, that should have been huge news, right?

Yet it wasn't.  And for what should have been a huge story, of national interest, an obvious question is, why did the Post give it such quiet coverage?  Why haven't the alphabet networks done the same?

Let's go thru the Post's head-fake line by line, and see a) how the Post piece leads readers to think the plotter was X; and b) how deep you have to read to find the real story.

The Post's story ran yesterday:

As it was becoming clear in March that Joe Biden would be the Democratic presidential nominee, Alexander Treisman started to map out his plot to assassinate the former vice president, federal authorities say.
“Should I kill Joe Biden?” Treisman wrote in a caption to a meme he posted in April…
The 19-year-old searched online for Biden’s home address and for night-vision goggles, and purchased an AR-15 in New Hampshire, according to federal court documents first reported Thursday by WBTV. At one point in May, Treisman ended up at a Wendy’s within four miles of Biden’s home in Delaware. And when he was arrested later that month in North Carolina, police searching his van found four rifles, a 9mm handgun, explosive materials, books on bomb making, and $509,000 in cash that’s believed to be his inheritance.
The Post "reporter" had lots of other information available from the federal court order, but...oddly...chose not to include it in his propaganda piece.  See if you can guess why:

The order said a search of the van found “$509,000 of U.S. currency (believed to be Defendant’s inheritance), books (about survival, bomb-making, improved weapons and Islam), drawing of swastikas and planes crashing into buildings” and five more guns.
  A video taken by Defendant’s cell phone while driving by the Mandalay Bay Casino in Las Vegas, with audio of a male voice saying “There it is. That’s where they did it.  Allah Akbar! Ah, nice.”;
    A video created on April 23, 2020 with Defendant’s cell phone at O’Hare International Airport with audio of a male voice suggesting that it would be “awesome” to hijack a plane and fly it into a building;

Ah, Islam.  Allah Akbar.  Hijacking an airliner and flying into a building.  Doesn't support the chosen Narrative that the guy was a right-wing extremist, so the Post omitted it from the story.

So what was the guy's motive?  The Post doesn't give the first hint until the last sentence of the 15th paragraph:

Treisman, who had suggested in a Reddit post that he had to “save bernie,” posted a meme with the caption questioning whether he should kill Biden.

But in the very next 'graf, the Post contradicts the clue it just gave, saying

He did so from the meme-sharing platform iFunny, which has become a popular hub for white nationalists and far-right propaganda. Last year, another 19-year-old was arrested for posting a meme in which he threatened to “slaughter and murder any doctor, patient, or visitor” at an abortion clinic.

Ah, "a popular hub for white nationalists and far-right propaganda"!!  Of course!  Makes perfect sense that anyone wanting to kill the Democrat nominee must be one of those right-wing Proud Boys or crazy QAnon freaks we keep hearing so much about, right?  And look!  The would-be assassin also threatened to kill "any doctor, patient or visitor at an abortion clinic."

That clinches it, eh?  Cuz the only folks who oppose abortion are right-wing extremists!

No.  The guy who plotted to kill Biden is a Bernie Bro. He wrote that he wanted to kill Biden to help Bernie Sanders.

And that crucial detail--showing that the plotter was NOT a Trump supporting right-wing extremist--was right in the headline, right?  Really?  Here's that headline:

“A 19-year-old with a van full of guns and explosives plotted to assassinate Biden"

It was similarly missing from the first 14 paragraphs, because the leftists who run the Post want you to think the plotter was a right-wing extremist. That’s why they immediately followed the "Bernie" revelation with two examples tying the guy to "white nationalists" and violence against abortion clinics--a goal tied exclusively to right-wing extremists.

Every Mainstream Media organ did the same thing in 2017 when a Bernie supporter named James T. Hodgkinson shot Republican congressional leader Steve Scalise on a softball field, almost killing Scalise.  The media bent over backwards to avoid mentioning that Hodgkinson was a staunch supporter of Bernie Sanders.

Editors know that most people only read the headline and the first few paragraphs of stories. And that's assuming they even read the newspaper story at all, and not just a tweet about it. So in most people’s minds, the story is “Feds bustTrump supporter's plot to kill Democrat nominee.”

Editors have known this for decades--and so have known how to write stories to give exactly the opposite impression of what really happened.  It’s not inadvertent. It’s not an accident. It’s by design.

That $500K Treisman had in his van seems weird too, doesn’t it?   The court order said the money "may" have been the kid's inheritance.  Really?  Seems as though the feds would have had all the time they needed to nail down "may" one way or the other.  What if that money turns out not to be Treisman’s inheritance? If not, where did he get it? What was he going to do with it?

Alas, we’ll never know, because the Post's treatment of this story is a clear signal to other Mainstream outlets to ignore the story, since the crazy plotter was a Bernie supporter instead of a Trump supporter. The story will vanish, because the Leftist media is wedded to pushing the idea that the Left is totes sane and reasonable, while the Right is violent, insane and intolerant.

NOW...if you think every damn democrat didn't fall for the Post's cunning mislead, click on the link to the Post story (above) and read the comments from Democrats who fell for it.  Here are a few:

>>That clown was no Bernie Sanders supporter.  He’s a very obvious Trump supporter who wanted Bernie to be the democratic nominee so Trump could mop the floor with him and howl like a lunatic about socialism and make it stick. They and Trump were scared of Joe Biden because they know Joe would clean Tweety’s clock - just like he’s doing. This assassination trip is the frustration of a Trump supporter loser who sees the writing on the wall. MAGA is a sick joke that’s dragged America back to the 60’s.  It can’t die soon enough.

Interesting that the plotter--the guy the above commenter claimed was "a very obvious Trump supporter"--has zero pro-Trump or conservative comments on social media.  Next commenter is also convinced the plotter was actually right-wing:

>>Note to Q-Anon nutjobs, Proud Boys, Boogaloo Bois, and other assorted crackpots:  The FBI is watching you, and when Trump loses, they'll be ready to pounce if you decide to start something.

Love it.  Another Dem who believes this guy was right-wing.  It's so typical of their idiocy.  Here's another who believes the mislead:

>>This guy only cared about Bernie winning so Trump could win. This ain't no Bernie Bro anymore than White Nationalists supporting the constitution of the USA. This is no Bernie Bro but a Trump supporter.

>>He wanted Bernie to be the nominee so that trump could wail and gnash his teeth about socialism. He’s not a leftist.

These go on for 2700 comments.  Once again, cunning Mainstream Media have succeeded in making readers believe a crazy leftist who plotted to kill the Dem nominee is actually a Trump supporter.
