In San Francisco seven Walgreen's drugstores have closed in the last year due to constant shoplifting. Media yawn.

San Francisco: After months of constant, brazen shoplifting, another Walgreens here is slosing its doors-- the seventh Walgreens to close in that city since 2019.

A frequent customer has posted photos of the thieves in the act for months.  Recently he photographed a man casually putting the contents of a couple of shelves into a backpack and walking out.

Store clerks say there's nothing they can do, that it's company policy.  Company execs don’t want clerks to try to stop shoplifters because they're afraid of being sued, so thieves just keep casually stealing anything they want.

A recent trip to the store revealed aisle after aisle of empty or near-empty shelves.  When a clerk was asked where all the goods had gone he replied, “Ask the people in the alleys, they have it all.”

Homeless encampments are common in the neighborhood, including two just across the street.

No sooner had the clerk spoken than a man wearing a virus mask walked in, emptied two shelves of snacks into a bag, then headed back for the door.

 One of the problems is that with the help of George Soros, idiot liberals in that city elected the son of two convicted terrorists as their district attorney.  The a$$hole ran on the promise of a) not charging anyone with indecency crimes, like defecating in public; and b) not charging anyone for theft if the thief steals less than a thousand bucks of merchandise.

Is that cool or what?  Naturally all the liberals thought that was great, cuz...reasons.

Because of this insane policy, store employees in San Francisco don't even bother calling the cops if someone walks out with $900 bucks worth of stuff.  And as you already guessed, it took the druggies about a day to learn that.  So "casual" shoplifting has soared.

Now, you don't live in that once-beautiful shithole city, so why do I bother telling you this story, eh?

Because this is the future for every Democrat-ruled, corrupt city.  If you can't see that this is the totally inevitable, unavoidable, easily predicted result of Democrat policies you're too dumb to breathe.

But by all means, keep electing Democrat DA's, mayors, councilmen and governors.  Cuz who needs so many drugstores, eh?
