Mayor of lawless Seattle is a lesbian, ordered cops to surrender precinct to BLM

Unless you get all your news from the Lying Mainstream Media you've probably heard about BLM and Antifa taking over six blocks of downtown Seattle and declaring it an "autonomous zone"--meaning not part of either Seattle or the U.S.

If you knew that, congratulations.  If you didn't, don't blame yourself:  The Lying Mainstream Media has tried to ignore this story, cuz it makes Democrats look bad.

Wait, you say you're skeptical?  Yeah, can't blame ya.  I mean, next thing you know someone will reveal that both the mayor and her hand-picked chief of police are lesbians or something.

Wait...you say that's actually true?

Wow, that explains a LOT.  But don't take my word for it:  Read the article below, from an LGBTQ rag called The Stranger.
Mayor Jenny Durkan doesn't want to talk about her private life. Which is too bad, because it must be a hell of a story.

It's hard to imagine Durkan's success in politics could have happened 20 years ago. The general public, even the supposedly liberal Democratic Party, was openly hostile to LGBTQ people back then.
"Supposedly liberal"?  The gays who run The Stranger apparently don't believe the Dem party is liberal enough for their taste.
Bill Clinton signed the Defense of Marriage Act in 1996, instituting homophobia into federal law.
Shows you that The Stranger is pro-gay.  So they aren't trying to harm Durkan.
After decades of strong, brave women blazing a trail and fighting for equal rights, we now live in a world where a lesbian can become the most powerful person in a major American city.... Durkan is one of those women who forced society to change, paving the way for future generations of women and LGBTQ people. So is Dana Garvey, Durkan's longtime partner, with whom the mayor has two children.
If you search for "Dana Garvey," Bing (a Microsoft division; Microsoft's headquarters is in...Seattle.  Go figure.] you get 1000 hits for "Dana Carvey," the male comedian.  But you can totally trust leftist search engines to give you what you're asking for, eh?
Even though the mayor's office declined to let The Stranger interview Durkan, we do know some information from public records... She [started] as a public defender and eventually becoming the first openly gay US Attorney in history.
You say she was the first openly gay U.S. attorney in history?  Wow!!  How did she get that post?

Oh...she was appointed by the faaaabulous! Barack Hussein Obama.

Now it's all starting to make sense.
While Durkan worked in the public sector [after leaving the U.S attorney post], Garvey broke barriers in the world of high-stakes corporate business. Garvey was a senior executive at McCaw Cellular/AT&T, one of the country's largest cellular communication firms....
Later we'll see that Garvey's position came from her family's $400 million fortune in the cell-phone business.
They are easily one of Seattle's most powerful couples, if not the most powerful couple in the Pacific Northwest.... In addition to declining an in-person interview request from The Stranger, the mayor's office declined to answer written questions for this story—including softball questions like how they met and what they think of being leaders in the LGBTQ community.
Are ya starting to think that this lesbian thing might be real?  But Durkan is cunning:  She hasn't married her lover for a reason:
Even though we are referring to Garvey as Durkan's "partner," they are not registered domestic partners and are not married, [so] Durkan is able to shield Garvey from much of the public disclosures that the spouses of previous Seattle mayors have been subjected to.

Seattle mayors are required to file financial disclosure forms that...[includes the holdings of] spouses.  These disclosures are intended to prevent public officials from making decisions that directly benefit their own finances. We wouldn't want an official awarding contracts to their own business, and disclosing their assets publicly helps prevent such moves.

These laws apply to Durkan ... But what Garvey is worth (and what she invests in) is anyone's guess.

By all indications, Garvey is worth a lot of money.  Her father was a Louisiana telecom magnate who sold his wireless telecommunications firm for $400 million...

Garvey also purchased a 70-acre lot on Whidbey Island for $3.4 million in 2001...
You think that's big?  The couple also bought a $4 million house in Seattle--location carefully not disclosed.  They demolished it, and are building a 5,000-square-foot mansion worth $7.5 million in its place.  And of course they're perfectly entitled to do anything with their own money, eh?  But do ya think the BLM/Antifa crowd who seized six blocks of downtown Seattle know any of this?
It makes you wonder: What do they not want the public to know? Are they hiding anything?  These are valid questions to ask any political leader. Similar questions have dogged President Donald Trump since his decision, during the 2016 campaign, not to release his tax returns.
I guess The Stranger included this last sentence to make Durkan and Garvey look better.  I don't see any other relevance to the story.
Because Durkan hasn't disclosed Garvey's assets, and because her office declined to provide any information for this story, we have no way to know.  I should reiterate: Durkan has not broken any laws by being private about her family's finances. (Neither has Trump by not disclosing his tax returns.)
There's another anti-Trump statement designed to make Durkan's refusal to release info look okay by comparing her to Trump.  Good job.
Few public photos of Garvey exist anywhere.
But hey, citizen, it's just crazy-talk...right-wing conspiracy nutter tinfoil-hat stuff!--to spread rumors that the communist female mayor of lawless Seattle is a lesbian, eh?  And if you see a slobbering, fawning article by a rag whose entire purpose is advancing LGBTs, saying she's a lesbian, you should ignore it, cuz reasons.

Now for the relevance:  Durkan appointed a black female to be her police chief.  BLM and Antifa knew, without question, that neither the lesbian leftist mayor nor the black female police chief would dare to take back the six-block area seized by BLM and Antifa.
