How the Democrat party will replace Joe Biden as their nominee
The post below is adapted from a piece by historian Victor Davis Hanson, who's been analyzing American politics and society for many years. Link to his article at the end.

Joe Biden is the apparent Democratic presidential nominee. But Joe has had...uh...problems: On the campaign trail he insulted voters who questioned him, calling them “fat,” “damn liar” and, weirdly, “lying dog-faced pony soldier.”
On many occasions he's been photographed sniffing the hair, rubbing the shoulders or whispering into the ears of unsuspecting females, some of them minors. This is particularly jarring since Biden has often bragged about his commitment to the #MeToo movement, and has insisted that all women who make accusations of sexual harassment must be believed.
When House Democrats attacked Donald Trump for supposedly pressuring Ukraine to investigate Biden’s wheeler-dealer son Hunter, Biden’s own suspect dealings with Ukraine surfaced. Particularly damning to Biden was his boast--caught on video--that he had threatened to withhold $1 billion in loan guarantees from Ukraine unless the Ukrainians fired a prosecutor who was investigating the Ukrainian energy company that had given Biden's son a million-dollar-a-year no-show job on its board of directors.
(For the record, Hunter Biden had absolutely no experience in the energy business.)
In the last few months the 77-year-old Biden has often appeared confused, unable to remember names, places or dates. He often loses his train of thought in the middle of a sentence.
But astonishingly, none of these problems should have mattered-- because the Mainstream Media would normally totally cover for the Democratic nominee no matter what. The media could be counted on to ignore all mental lapses and controversies, including the sexual assault allegations by Tara Reade, who worked for Biden in the senate.
And at first the media did their usual job--because the leaders of the Democratic party viewed Biden as far preferable to self-proclaimed socialist Bernie Sanders. No matter how much leading Democrats are committed to socialism, they guessed that voters weren't quite ready for the party to nominate a self-proclaimed socialist.
They worried that if they threw Biden under the bus and gave the nomination to Sanders, many Democrat voters would likely stay home, costing the party many congressional seats.
But as more evidence surfaced supporting Tara Reade's accusations--evidence ignored by the Mainstream Media--the more voters started to see the media’s utter hypocrisy. After all, every single mainstream journalist had joined the Democrats in trashing Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh over far less serious, and less supported, allegations.
If you follow politics closely you know what's about to happen.
Top Democrat strategists will quietly change tactics: They'll decide to let the media help them cut Biden loose--and without hurting the party.
In this master-stroke both the Dem party and the Mainstream Media will no longer be vulnerable to charges of being hypocritical about not believing women when a Democrat has been accused. The party will also be praised for shielding a beloved 77-year-old party stalwart from having to endure the stress of campaigning when his mental decline has become increasingly obvious.
It's brilliant. They'll be praised for throwing their nominee overboard.
Of course at that point Democrat leaders will still need to decide the details of how to actually announce it, and who to name as the new nominee. But the "how" doesn't matter, because the Mainstream Media will totally support whatever the party decides.
Choosing the new Dem nominee is another matter. The Party has to find a way to nominate someone *other* than socialist Sanders--and must do so without causing Sanders voters to stay home on election day out of pique.
The most likely replacement is ghastly, dictatorial New York governor Andrew Cuomo, but many party leaders favor Hillary Clinton, or even America-hating Michelle Obama--who was captured on video at her husband's inauguration saying "All this for a damn flag."
It's gonna be interesting watching the scheming.
