Amazing: Dems and Lying Media have convinced voters that almost no one actually got a tax cut!

Thanks to the Trump tax cut bill, most Americans paid less in income tax this year.  A whopping 82 percent of middle-class Americans saw a tax cut, with an average savings of more than $1,260. A full 90 percent of workers saw an increase in pay after the IRS adjusted withholding tables to reflect the new law. but many of them are convinced they're actually paying more.

The Tax Policy Center estimated that 82 percent of middle-income Americans will receive a tax cut for an average reduction of individual income taxes of $1,260 in 2018, increasing after-tax incomes by 1.7 percent. Lower-middle-class households saw the largest tax cut as a percentage of their income, according to The Wall Street Journal.  According to the Treasury Department, 90 percent of Americans saw an increase in their take-home pay.

But as one could have predicted, Democrats have used their allies in the media to convince most Americans that they got no benefit at all from the tax cuts.

The campaign by the Dems has been so successful that a Wall Street Journal poll found that only 17 percent of Americans actually believe their taxes were cut.  According to one survey only 36.3 percent of Americans approve of the cuts, while 40.8 percent disapprove of them.

If 90 percent of Americans benefitted from the Trump tax cuts, why do so many Americans think that's not true?

Even the New York Times admits this is because of lying by "liberal opponents"--though they carefully don't mention the Lying Media:
"To a large degree, the gap between perception and reality on the tax cuts appears to flow from a sustained — and misleading — effort by liberal opponents of the law to brand it as a broad middle-class tax increase."
Democrats and the media have waged a huge misinformation campaign branding the tax cuts a "GOP Tax Scam."  Democrats and the media falsely claimed that the Trump tax cuts were actually a tax increase. Two Dem presidential candidates—Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders—literally called the the tax cuts a "heist."

Their outrageously liberal media allies were all too eager to repeat these lies.  One leftist writer for The American ProspectThe Atlantic, Slate, and a co-founder and editor at Vox (Matthew Yglesias) bragged about orchestrating this misinformation campaign.
"...progressive groups did a really good job of convincing people that Trump raised their taxes when the facts say a clear majority got a tax cut," Yglesias tweeted.
Most people would rather pay lower taxes if possible.  Thanks to Trump, 82 percent of Americans are paying less, and 90 percent saw pay increases due to lower mandatory tax withholding from paychecks.  But true to form, Democrats and their media allies have lied to make voters dislike what most would consider a good thing.  Par for the course for Dems and the media.

But you should definitely believe the Dems on everything:  global warming climate change, no crisis on the border, illegal immigrants don't suck up welfare or commit crimes, the government should ban carbon fuels and air travel, on and on.  Cuz, when have they ever lied to you before?
