More details on Virginia teacher fired for refusing to use male pronouns when referring to tranny

You may have heard about a Virginia school board that fired a highschool teacher for refusing to use male pronouns when referring to a female-to-male tranny.

Oh, you didn't hear about that?  Of course not, dahling.  ABC/NBC/CBS/MSPMS/CNN didn't think it was newsworthy, so...there ya go, citizen.

Now more details are coming in.  Teacher Peter Vlaming had taught for seven years.  Far from being disrespectful to the student in question—a biological girl posing as male—Vlaming met with her and her parents and offered to use the girl’s new "male" name in class, and to avoid feminine pronouns. But the teacher said he was not willing to use “he” or “him” when referring to the student in conversations with others, citing his Christian beliefs.

There's no indication of major problems at this point.  Instead things went south in a bizarre and unexpected way:  Inexplicably, the student was wearing virtual reality goggles in the school hallway and was about to run into a wall.  The teacher, seeing this about to happen, yelled, “Don’t let her run into the wall!”

"Gotcha!  Fire the cis-gender, patriarchy-supporting bastard!"

The girl’s parents heard about the incident and complained.  The teacher was placed on administrative leave while the school board investigated, and eventually told he could only keep his job if he started using male pronouns for the student and met with her parents to tell them so.

Vlaming declined, and was fired.

The teacher had agreed to call the girl by her fake-male name, and to avoid using female pronouns.  It wasn’t enough.  School officials--eager to signal their virtuousness--were only too willing to fire the man.

This should alarm every American, because it shows that anyone who dissents in even a small way from the demands of trannies can be fired.  It’s not just college professors and high school teachers who are at risk, but anyone who dares to express an opinion on whether people can declare they're the opposite sex.

Recently Twitter permanently banned Canadian feminist writer Meghan Murphy for making the totally unremarkable observation that “men aren’t women.”

Murphy lost more than her Twitter account over all this.  A Canadian publisher with whom she had been working on a manuscript for three years dropped her book over the affair.  The owner of the publishing house explained to Murphy in an email, “I cannot and will not accept a manuscript for publication at Greystone which is hurtful to individuals or groups because of what they believe about their own gender.”

The trend of aggressive trans activism is of course most pronounced in academia, where social justice mobs are becoming more frequent.  Even academic journals like Nature are bowing: Nature published an editorial in October arguing against classifying sex “on the basis of anatomy or genetics”--how silly!--and asserting that “The idea that science can make definitive conclusions about a person’s sex or gender is fundamentally flawed.”

Being labeled “transphobic” today is tantamount to being called a racist or a Nazi, and opinion-shaping institutions are rushing to swear fealty to tranny demands.  In their rush to bow to those demands, those in positions of power are not only eager to affirm something that is obviously false, but will eagerly fire anyone who has the temerity to refuse to do the same.
