Former head of the FBI--Comey--lied his ass off to congress; mainstream media just smiles

Last Friday former FBI Director James Comey "testified" before a congressional committee that wanted to know why the FBI--under his direction--and Obama's DOJ had done so many illegal things to whitewash Hillary Clinton's lawbreaking, and to try to torpedo then-candidate Trump.

In response to questions on which he presumably directed the actions at issue, Comey replied "I don't know" or "I don't recall" 245 times.

Either Comey is lying or he's incompetent--and no one believes he's incompetent.

Had the events being questioned been anything other than trying to rig the outcome of a presidential election, one could understand the hundreds of “I don’t knows” and “I don’t recalls” by the former FBI director.  That's because most FBI investigations are done by agents in the field office in which an alleged crime occurred.  The FBI director wouldn't know the details.

But in this case all the decisions to deliberately trash the so-called "investigation" into Hillary's sending above-Top-Secret emails to her unsecured email server, and to run the effort to torpedo Trump by alleging "Russian collusion" were made by...James Comey.

He knew every detail of his own decisions.  Yet last Friday Comey asked the nation to believe that he'd suddenly had total memory loss, saying “I don’t know” or the equivalent some 245 times.

Comey claimed little knowledge of the Steele dossier.  Yet he signed a FISA warrant to spy on candidate and then President Trump based entirely on that dossier, even though he knew it was a fraud.  His defense in front of Congress on Friday was that he didn’t know it was a fraud or he forgot.

Comey told investigators that the anti-Trump dossier created by retired British intelligence agent Christopher Steele was largely unverified before and after a FISA warrant was obtained to surveil Trump campaign adviser Carter Page, according to a report.

The original FISA warrant application submitted in October 2016, along with the three 90-day renewal, were labeled
“Verified application. The FBI has reviewed this verified application for accuracy in accordance with its April 5, 2001 procedures, which include sending a copy of the draft to the appropriate field office(s),”
Also interesting was Comey’s insistence that the man who made him a multi-millionaire, Robert Mueller, was merely a passing acquaintance:  “Are you best friends with Robert Mueller?” Rep. Jerrold Nadler (D-N.Y.), the top Democrat on the Judiciary Committee, asked Comey.

“I am not,” Comey said. “I admire the heck out of the man, but I don't know his phone number, I've never been to his house, I don't know his children's names.”  “I think I had a meal once alone with him in a restaurant.  I'm an associate of his who admires him greatly. We're not friends in any social sense.”

Well...  The two men’s working relationship can be traced back to at least December of 2003, when Comey joined Mueller in Washington after he became John Ashcroft’s deputy attorney general.  In 2013 the Washingtonian described the two men’s long-standing relationship like this:
[Comey]\ and Mueller spent many hours together, developing a close partnership...

Perhaps the most interesting -- and lucrative -- aspect of the long-standing relationship between these “brothers in arms”--that Comey now denies--is how then-FBI director Mueller used his position to enrich his allegedly "casual acquaintance" Comey.  Turns out Comey earned millions because of his close friendship to Robert Mueller.

It happened when Comey briefly left government service to work for major government contractor Lockheed Martin, which paid Comey $6 million per year.  Comey's "casual acquaintance" Mueller was running the FBI, and that agency begin awarding $100-million-dollar-plus contracts to Lockheed Martin.

One of these contracts was actually worth a billion dollars--which we know because the award of that contract was formally protested formally by the losing bidder, IBM.

Comey made well over $10 million from when he left the public sector in 2005 and by the time he returned to serve as FBI director [in 2009].

James Comey--supposedly the "top law-enforcement officer of the United States--is a serial liar who supervised and directed Andrew McCabe, Peter Strzok, and Lisa Page in a highly-organized effort to keep Hillary Clinton out of prison and Donald Trump out of the White House.

But pay no attention to this article, citizen.  You should believe the Washington Post and New York Times.  The allegations made above are totally unsupported.  The references to transcripts are unsubstantiated.  This is all crazy "conspiracy-theory" territory.  Comey never lied.  Stories saying he drafted his statement clearing Hillary months before she and 24 other key witnesses had even been interviewed are just speculation.  Pay no attention to the so-called Inspector-General report claiming those things.  Cuz all good citizens know how easily bloggers can alter I-G reports.

Trust Democrat leaders.  Trust the FBI.  They have your best interests at heart.
