Dems on MSNBC: "Socialism is great! Most Americans want it! We just need a different name for it.
There's a term in law called an "admission against interest." That's when a someone makes an admission that damages their reputation or case. It's given great evidentiary weight, because it's reasonable to assume that the only reason one would make such a damaging admission would be to conceal an even more damaging truth.
For example, when Democrat strategists, speaking on a totally Democrat-loving cable network, say something like "Socialism is great. Most Americans want socialism. But a bunch of the deplorables just have this irrational fear of that term. So what we need is to find another term for socialism. Cuz it'll take the dumb-ass, toothless knuckle-draggers a decade to figure out it's the same thing just with a new name! Hahahahaha!" that's an admission against interest, so we should probably believe it reflects their actual, y'know, intentions.
But don't expect any so-called "reporter" to ever ask 'em for clarification.
