Son builds wheelchair ramp for 91-year-old mother; county pencil-d*cks make him tear it down
LAUREL, Md. — A 91-year-old woman, confined to a wheelchair, couldn't get in or out of her home. Fortunately her son Bob, who worked in construction, offered to build his mother a really great wheelchair ramp. He completed the job nicely, and all was well. Problem solved.
Hahahahahahaha! Just kidding! The stupid dick-heads in the Office of Over-controlling Peoples' Lives in Prince Georges' County, Maryland (Haitham Hijazi, county inspections director), decided this was completely and utterly intolerable--because they hadn't gotten permission to build the wheelchair ramp.
Yes, gentle readers, you have to get a building permit to build a f*cking wheelchair ramp.

Bob
submitted plans and tried to file for a permit, but as you could guess, the county refused to issue a permit because he's already
built the ramp before asking the county for permission. County workers then
mailed the parents, demanding they appear in district court to answer charges of non-compliance with building code. The order
warned in bold lettering that failing to appear could result in fines or imprisonment for contempt of
court.
Seeing what appeared to be a hopeless fight, the elderly couple’s son tore down the ramp, trapping Evelyn in her own home. "For him to have to tear it down after he worked so hard to build it was awul. It was such a great gift, and the county made us tear it down,” she said.
Weeks later county inspections director Haitham Hijazi wrote a letter admitting "something obviously went awry" and that officials "could have worked with" the couple--if county employees had just notified higher managers.

I hate incompetent, self-important, power-mad ass-hole government officials SO much. But Democrats seem to love 'em, and want more of 'em, cuz that's what it takes to make socialism work.
Ask the poor bastards in Venezuela.
