Got a problem with a policy of the Left? They have solution: Re-name it.

Whenever people start to get wise to the ghastly consequences of a policy pushed by the Left, one of the techniques the Left uses to counterattack is to simply re-label whatever is starting to stir up some pushback.

The example described below comes from Australia, but you've seen endless versions here in the U.S.

Aussie prime minister Malcolm Turnbull criticised the government of an Aussie state for not doing more about Melbourne’s growing gang violence and lawlessness, and police on Tuesday said the city had a problem with a small number of African youth involved in gang behaviour.

Solution?  South Sudanese community leader Richard Deng said he did not like to use the word “gangs.”  Instead he claimed that if there was a problem at all, it was really just due to a “tiny number” of kids who just happened to be of African descent.

“There are no gangs in Victoria,” he said.  “There are just a group of young kids who are going together in a group and they are terrorising people because they are going in a group.”  Deng claimed a number of kids in his area had "become disengaged with the community" and fallen in with "ringleaders" who pushed them into crime.

So there's no problem of gang violence.  If residents think there's a problem, it's group violence.

It's so obvious.  Why didn't we see that before?

So in the U.S, if anyone thinks we have a problem with "illegal aliens" committing an outrageously high number of crimes against Americans, you're simply wrong.  Any problems you feel are occurring are due "temporarily undocumented visitors."

And to the fact that you obviously hate all immigrants, including legal ones.  Uh-huh.
