Hearing for Pakistani national hired by top Dems to run their office computers postponed *again*

Last July a Pakistani national hired by 40 Democrat congresscritters to run their government computer systems was arrested at Dulles airport as he was about to board a flight to Pakistan.

Imran Awan and his wife were later indicted for bank fraud--a relatively trivial charge compared to what he and his family were really doing: copying the emails and files of Democrat congresscritters and transmitting them to a non-government server off the capitol grounds.  Oh, and stealing every piece of computer gear and every government Blackberry that wasn't nailed down,

The person who hired Imran--and recommended him to other congresscreeps--was former chair of the Democrat National Committee, Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL).  Even after capitol police banned Awan from the capitol computer system, Debbie immediately re-hired him as a "consultant" at the same salary.  Curious, to say the least.

Capitol police say that when they asked Imran for a copy of data he'd copied from a server belonging to the House Democrat Caucus, he provided them with what he said was a copy of the data, but that experts later determined had been carefully edited to remove files.

So this guy's thoroughly bad, and Debbie Wasserman-Schultz is either part of the bad group or just incredibly dumb and incompetent.  But the story has even more twists:
Awan was scheduled for a "status hearing" just before Thanksgiving.  That hearing was postponed to January 8.  Now it's been postponed yet again, this time to "March" (date unknown).

The official explanation for this second postponement is to allow the defense team to examine recent "discovery" items disclosed by the government.

A worrisome aspect of this case is that although the famously pro-Democrat, corrupt FBI have been "investigating" this case for well over a year, the only charges filed so far are these bank fraud and related charges.  No official has mentioned anything related to the theft of files on the office systems of Democrat congresscritters or the wholesale theft of government electronic gear.

If you or I had stolen this much government gear, the FBI would use its usual tactic: charge and convict on whatever they have, then use the discomfort of jail to pressure you to confess to the rest.  But with the Awans, they're not doing that.  One wonders if the reason is that the 40-plus Democrat members of Congress the Awans and their associates worked for don't want the full story to come out.

It's a real shame that there's no federal agency we can trust to actually, really, honestly investigate lawbreaking by Democrats.
