Some thoughts after the latest partial-bomb-detonation (failed attack) by a Muslim in NYC subway

After the "fizzle" explosion in the Port Authority subway station (apparently only the blasting cap detonated), Daniel Greenfield had some observations in FrontPage magazine.  Some highlights:

At a press conference after the attack, leftist NY mayor Bill deBlasio-- who dismantled the NYPD’s counterterrorism programs at the behest of Islamist pressure groups--insisted that what the attack really showed was “that a society of many faiths and many backgrounds can work.”

A society of many faiths can work--but only as long as all members of those faiths practice mutual tolerance.

It won't work--can't work--when a society includes creatures like Akayed Ullah (the fizzle bomber),
   *Sayfullo Saipov, an Uzbeki Muslim who ran over tourists on a Manhattan bike path in October;
   *Ahmad Khan Rahimi, an Afghan who set off bombs in New York and New Jersey last year;
   *Faisal Shahzad, a Pakistani who tried to detonate a car bomb in Times Square;
   *Talha Haroon, another Pakistani who wanted to massacre New Yorkers in Times Square;
   *Quazi Mohammad, another Bangladeshi who wanted to bomb the Federal Reserve; and
   *Raees Qazi, another Pakistani who scouted Times Square for an attack.

How can you coexist with people who refuse to coexist with you--who demand that you convert to Islam or die?

For two centuries the U.S. welcomed immigrants, virtually all of them eager to assimilate and become part of this great country.  Virtually none wanted to kill Americans.  But with far too many Muslims, we've been seeing a wave of such attacks.

When a religion teaches that the highest honor in the afterlife goes to followers who kill members of any other religion, who couldn't predict that we'd see lots of such killings--whether by bomb or truck?

After every such attack, politicians always tout the marvels and wonders of diversity, telling us how much it enriches us.  They do this because it wins them the votes of every leftist, and a handful from confused, kumbayah-singing religious types.  The moment pols see that it costs more votes than it wins, they'll stop doing that.

"Diversity" does enrich one group of Americans: the left, because it gives them votes, and a wedge issue they use to create allies against Americans who aren't on the left--their enemies.  If they gain power, the Left abruptly stops tolerating diversity, even among fellow leftists.  It's just another buzz-word--a seductive lie for easily-swayed leftist followers.

We don’t have to put up with these attacks.  We do so only because Democrat pols--leftists all--refuse to crack down.  We’ve been told that it would be unfair to actually have a rational immigration policy that keeps Islamic terrorists out.  Leftist judges repeatedly block common-sense efforts like the president's ban on travel from the most rabid Muslim nations.

Every Democrat candidate for office should be asked point-blank:  Which would you favor, far more careful immigration policies, or more terror bombings?
