Anarchist goons demand that statue of Houston's founder be removed from city park

As most Americans used to know, Houston, Texas was named after Sam Houston.  In 1925 a statue of Sam was placed in a city park, where it has become a local landmark.

Now a group calling itself Texas Antifa has demanded that the city remove the statue, and any other landmark honoring the city's namesake.  On its Facebook the group wrote

Texans agree the disgusting idols of America's dark days of slavery must be removed to bring internal peace to our country.

Actually I'm pretty sure "Texans" don't agree with Anti-first-amendment on much of anything, but we'll leave that determination for the war.

Texas Antifa is also reported to be considering demanding that the city change its name.
