What's this thing called "the AP," and why do they constantly push socialist policies?
There's a totally anti-American company called the "Associated Press." You need to know who they are and what they do, because most people believe they're simply a "news wire-service."
Oh, I see that didn't help. That's an archaic term from the days of the telegraph--"the wire." What it means is they write stories supporting Democrat and communist policies, and liberal newspapers and TV stations pay to paste those stories on their front pages and put 'em on their "newz-casts." Totally pro-Democrat, pro-socialist, anti-conservative crap, and yet most Americans believe what they're reading or hearing is unbiased truth.
Like every member of the corrupt, anti-American, anti-freedom Mainstream Media, the Associated Press is a Democrat-fellating shill site. The Lying Mainstream Media wants you to believe the AP is a totally neutral, unbiased news-gathering organization, but their real goal is to get voters to support Dem policies that will destroy the U.S.--by bankrupting it. The AP does this by constantly pushing stories on its "newz-wire" demanding that congress pass more socialist laws that give ever more free shit to Dem voters.
Of course you don't believe that. I understand. Really. So let's look at the latest example:
In 2008 guilt-ridden whites joined with blacks and Hispanics to elect the nation's first half-black president, the Muslim socialist Obozo, and to give the Democrats control of both chambers of congress. This total control offered the Democrat party the power to pass any law they wanted *without needing a single GOP vote.* That in turn meant they didn't need to allow a *single* amendment offered by the GOP to even be brought up for a floor vote--*unless* Republicans used the filibuster (which is how the Democrats block all GOP bills they don't like).
But there's a class of bills that the minority party in the senate isn't allowed to filibuster: "budget reconciliation bills." And declaring any bill to be a "budget reconciliation bill" only takes a simple majority vote instead of the 60 needed to break a filibuster. Clever, eh?
So since the Dems didn't have the 60 votes needed to break a filibuster, they cunningly RULED that their so-called "Affordable Care Act" bill--which would eventually add trillions of dollars to government spending by giving "free" healthcare to millions--was actually a "budget reconciliation bill," meaning Republicans couldn't use the filibuster to force amendments to be brought up for a full "floor vote."
Cunning, eh? The Democrats knew their shitty bill had *nothing to do with "budget reconciliation,"* but they didn't care: all that mattered was to get what they wanted, "by any means necessary.* And by ruling out the filibuster by DECREEING that the bill was actually a "budget reconciliation measure," the Dems wouldn't need a single GOP vote to pass whatever they wanted, so didn't need to allow even ONE GOP amendment to their socialist masterpiece.
So the Democrats rammed thru "Obamacare"-- laughably-misnamed the "Affordable Care Act"--*without a single GOP vote.* The 1,200-page monstrosity was impossible to comprehend on a single reading. In fact the utterly corrupt Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi, infamously bleated "We have to pass the bill to see what's in it."
Seriously, she actually said that.
Democrat-ruled government working totally normally, eh?
One of the main architects of the bill was an economist from MIT named Jonathan Gruber, who was caught on video two or three times saying the only reason the Dems were able to pass the thing was because Americans were too dumb to understand it!
He actually said that, on video, more than once.
But wait...it gets worse.
Under the new law insurance companies would offer various policies to Americans--BUT, all policies had to cover things only Dems wanted, *like pregnancy benefits for men, and for women over 60* (i.e. past menopause, so pregnancy wouldn't be a concern). Seriously.
So insurance companies would tally their "subscribers" and submit a list to the gruberment (for chief architect Jon Gruber), with their calculated cost for the insurance *demanded* by the ACA. And *surprise!* The costs were WAY more than what Gruber et al had calculated!
There followed a decade of court battles over the ever-higher cost of this monstrosity, until in 2020--a decade after the Dems passed it into law--the Chyna virus arrived to save the Democrats:
With Democrat governors ordering *massive lockdowns ordering most businesses closed (oddly exempting pot store, liquor stores, betting shops and "big-box stores), many people couldn't pay rent, let alone health-care premiums. So the Dems rammed thru a law vastly increasing the taxpayer-funded "subsidies"--the payments that made Obozocare free to low-income voters.
When the Dems rammed this through, they said the huge increase in subsidies was only to last until the end of 2024. But when that date rolled around...surprise! The Dems got those faaabulous subsidies extended to the end of 2025. Nice, eh?
Now Covid is long gone, but if the extra-juicy "subsidies" aren't continued, a few million Americans will suddenly find that the REAL cost of "free" Obamacare is far more than the Democrat liars promised. Yes, the communist Muslim Obozo himself said on MANY occasions that "Under my plan the average family will SAVE $2,500 per year!" Hmmm....
As you can guess, the Dems are desperate to avoid admitting they were utterly full of shit. So as you could guess, their allies in the Mainstream Media have totally ignored the cunning lies about the real cost of the "free" health care boondoggle and instead have made the entire issue about "Republicans are about to *force poor Americans to pay a LOT mo' money fo' health care!!!"*
Cunning, eh? The Dems lied--repeatedly--about the true cost of Obozocare to get their own members to pass this piece of shit, and now have the gall to blame Republicans for following the law that said the increase subsidies during the Chyna virus would expire at the end of 2025.
It's brilliant. So here's the AP:
Senate rejects extension of health care subsidies as costs are set to rise for millions of Americans

Yesterday (12/11) the Senate rejected legislation to extend tax credits for premiums paid by voters under the "Affordable Care Act," essentially guaranteeing that millions of Americans will see a steep rise in costs at the beginning of the year.
Senators rejected a Democrat bill to extend the subsidies for three years, and a Republican alternative that would have created new health savings accounts.>>
<<In 2010 the laughably-misnamed "Affordable Care Act" gave "tax credits" (essentially cash) to people making up to four times the federal poverty level. In 2021, after the Democrats shut down all Democrat states and ordered businesses closed, and with the Democrats controlling both chambers of congress, the Dems made Obozocare look even more attractive by 1) increasing the tax credits paid to users; and 2) removing the cap on who could sign up for 'em (originally four times the federal poverty level, now any income). And they extended the "tax credits" until 2022 in their pork-loaded "American Rescue Plan Act."
Then in 2022 the Dems passed bribem's "Inflation Reduction Act" which extended the increased subsidies ("tax credits") for three more years, ending the end of this year.<<
>>The dueling Senate votes were the latest political messaging exercise in a Congress that has operated almost entirely on partisan terms, as Republicans pushed through a bill massively cutting both taxes and spending, using budget maneuvers that eliminated the need for Democratic votes.>>
<<"Those sneaky, nasty ol' Rethuglicans," eh? But the AP cunningly avoided telling you that the Dems did exactly the same thing to pass Obozocare in the first place!<<
>>The health savings accounts in the GOP bill that they eventually settled on would give money directly to consumers instead of to insurance companies, an idea that has been echoed by Trump.>>
<<Wait..."tax credits" are amounts the feds pay individual taxpayers. When did the gummint start paying insurance companies directly? And wouldn't that be an invitation to fraud if a company simply said they had lots more clients than they had? Can anyone explain?<<
>>Senate majority leader John Thune said extending the subsidies for another three years, as the Democrats demanded, was “an attempt to disguise the spiraling cost of Obamacare.">>
<<Bingo.
>>Democrats immediately rejected the GOP plan, saying that the amount in "health savings accounts" wouldn't be enough to cover costs for most consumers.>>
>>Republicans have tried unsuccessfully to repeal or overhaul the ACA, arguing that health care is still too expensive. But they have struggled to find an alternative. Democrats have made the policy a central political issue in several elections, betting that the millions of people who buy health care on the government marketplaces want to keep their coverage.>>
<<The issue is whether the Dems can keep forcing working Americans to give tax dollars as *tax credits* to people making six or more times the federal poverty level. In other words, "mo' free shit."<<
>>In November Schumer made it clear that Democrats would not seek a compromise. “When people’s monthly payments spike next year, they’ll know it was Republicans that made it happen.”>>
<<Pure bribery: "Vote for us Dems cuz we promise to give you mo' money!"<<
Republican moderates in the House who could have competitive reelection bids next year are pushing Johnson to extend the subsidies.>>
SO...how'd that work out, eh?
The Dems finally agreed to re-open the government, but only after getting the GOP to agree to consider extending the free healthcare for another year. And there's every indication that enough GOP senators will vote with the Dems to get that passed.
WHEE! So the Lying Media claim the GOP wants Americans to die, by refusing to extend the free subsidies beyond what the Democrats passed as a limited emergency measure during the covid lockdown. And then the Dems will win again by demanding that those "emergency subsidies" be extended for yet another year, eh? And of course they'll be extended every year after that too.
Just enough Republicans are too scared to vote *against* extending the "emergency subsidies" to allow the Dems to win yet again. And of course this is ALWAYS what happens, because the Democrat-fellating Mainstream Media couch every issue as "Mean, greedy Rethuglicans wanna kill duh po' pipo, while brave Democrats are standing up to duh mean, cruel Rethuglicans to give duh po' whut dey iz *entitled to!"*
As long as the Mainstream Media is unopposed, the Dems will win EVERY such policy battle, because emotion overcomes deficits every time.
