biden regime violates federal law again--this time apparently because no one read it. Top people!

In case anyone needed any more proof that the biden regime is run by incompetents and idiots, keep reading:

Both Obama and biden have tried to pass laws without bothering to involve congress.  Similarly, when congress does pass a law, both Obozo and biden simply ignore it, or just don't bother to read it.  Cuz why do we even have congress anyway, eh?

Specifically: In 2016 congress noted that the NIH--like all federal monster agencies--had become a behemoth, with its five divisions (IIRC) handing out $20 BILLION in grants each year, with lots of waste and little accountability.

To force that agency to be more accountable, congress passed a law titled the "21st Century Cures Act."  That law required the HHS secretary to personally appoint the directors of the five divisions.  They were last appointed in 2016, to five-year-terms.

So by law, all five directors had to be re-appointed (or replaced) in December of 2021.
The House oversight committee claims that for reasons the Biden administration has yet to explain, there is no record that this was done.

The law doesn't provide for this appointment power to be delegated, and there's no evidence that Becerra renewed the appointments.  But true to form, the NIH handed out $25 BILLION in grants.

Last Friday, the House Committee on Energy and Commerce issued a letter to Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Xavier Becerra that raises the disturbing question of whether Fauci and 13 other National Institutes of Health (NIH) institute and center directors were unlawfully holding their offices for some period.

When the House committee informed the biden regime that it appeared to have violated  federal law, the committee asked a simple question: Did HHS Secretary Becerra appoint the directors as required by law?  What followed were dodgy and confusing statements from the administration.

He seems to have not appointed them, but is now attempting to claim he has the power to appoint them retroactively.  The law doesn't give him that option.

SO, here's what happened:  Apparently no one in the biden regime bothered to read the law.  Surely no one can be surprised at this, since no federal employee wants to take his or her precious time to read 2000 pages of bureau-babble, gobblespeak, bafflegab and utter horseshit that make up 95% of all laws passed nowadays.

Understandable, but the regime can't admit that NO ONE reads the laws.  So it will carp and dodge and scuttle sideways to invent some bullshit workaround that will make the whole thing go away.

And the Republicans will let 'em get away with it, because it's all fait accompli, like the massive election fraud.  And because our side doesn't have the killer drive that the Democrats do.

Ah well...
