Leftist website confirms huge funding from Fauci to Wuhan, blows up theory of natural origin
The Intercept is a left-wing site, thus Democrat-loving. So when they report the story below, it's an "admission against interest" since it confirms what a few hundred researchers have been saying about duh Chyna virus from the outset, and destroys the Narrative by Fauci and the Dems.
The story is titled "Documents link potential Covid Patient Zero to U.S.-funded research in Wuhan." And if you're interested in seeing it, I suggest you click now because it's very likely to vanish in a few days.
In November of 2019 one of the first Wuhan researchers reportedly sickened with Covid was Ben Hu, who was getting U.S. financial support for dangerous gain-of-function research on coronaviruses.
According to documents obtained through a Freedom of Information Act request, the U.S. funding totalled $41 million, from the US Agency for International Development and the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases headed by Anthony Fauci. The grants specifically list Hu as an investigator.
The first response to claims that Fauci had funded research at the Wuhan Institute were sneeringly denied by the Media. I saw the first screenshots of grants from Fauci's agency specifically to a "cutout" called "EcoHealth Alliance" but actually delivered to the Wuhan Institute just a few months into 2020, but for trivial amounts--less than $200,000 or so, and for one year. But further digging has now revealed the $41 million noted above, with grants running from 2014 thru 2019.
One grant was still operating in 2020 but was ended by direct order from Trump after the virus outbreak.
U.S. intelligence agencies had learned as early as December of 2019 that three employees at the Wuhan Institute of Virology had been hospitalized with Covid symptoms the previous month. This is hugely significant because it's before the outbreak of the virus at the nearby "wet market."
For those unfamiliar with the timeline, Fauci and the Chinese claimed the first appearance of Covid was at the "wet market," and both Fauci and the Chinese claimed the normally harmless bat virus somehow made the jump to humans after a local resident ate either a bat or a pangolin. This was obvious horseshit to anyone who knew fuck-all about viruses, but the broad public didn't, so anyone challenging Fauci was quickly called a conspiracy theorist.
I realize that last sounds brusque, so let me explain: If Covid evolved through natural mutation in an animal host to make it both transmissible and lethal to humans, other members of that species should have it. But as the Intercept drily noted, "No such animal has been identified." What they mean is that the Covid-19 virus has never been found in ANY animal--which destroys the "animal source" theory.
Interestingly, the story about lab workers getting what appeared to be Covid before the market outbreak was first reported by the Wall Street Journal in May 2021. But as the Intercept article put it, "the revelation had curiously little impact" on the debate over the origin of the virus, even though it would totally invalidate the "natural mutation" theory if confirmed.
"Curiously little impact," y'say? Yeah, that's because when the WSJ story was published in May of 2021, the bidenharris/Dem regime had already taken over. Ever obedient to China's commands (due to huge bribes from China to the corrupt biden), the regime was determined that the "modified in a lab" theory not be allowed to get any traction. So the word quietly went out to their allies in the Mainstream Media: "Lab leak is to be debunked as a conspiracy theory."
As noted, the $41 Million in U.S. dollars to the Wuhan lab from NIAID and USAID list Hu as an investigator in the projects being funded. Hu was the top protege of Shi Zhengli, known as the "batwoman" for her work with bat viruses. Hu was specifically paid to splice a gene called a "furin cleavage site"--a gene that doesn't appear in ANY known natural bat virus but is present in the Covid-19 virus--into "natural" bat viruses.
Two years ago I told you Anthony Fauci brazenly lied to congress when he denied funding "gain-of-function" research in China. Now the proof that I saw two years ago has been confirmed by both the WSJ and the left-wing Intercept. Obviously Fauci would have told any lie to cover up his role in funding creation of a virus that killed several million people around the world--and probably on the order of 600,000 Americans (the official total being far over-estimated to scare Americans into obeying all the lockdowns and other bizarre rules by duh gruberment, like yanking medical licenses of doctors who openly disagreed with the regime).
