Politico puff piece on the next Dem governor of Texas--fawning over a Christian??
Politico is a leftist website posing as an unbiased "newz" outlet. They hate conservative--and Christians--with a passion. As far as I can determine from searching the net, they've never run a story praising a Christian.
So when they ran a long piece slobbering and fawning over a Christian member of the Texas House two days ago, it was obvious they were up to no good. You've got to read the article to see how obvious it is. If one ever wanted to find a definition of "journalistic fellatio," this would be it.
The piece is titled
He’s Deeply Religious and a Democrat. He Might Be the Next Big Thing in Texas Politics
Sub-head: "He confounds Fox News hosts, fights the culture wars by quoting scripture, and has fellow Democrats talking about his statewide future."
When have you *ever* heard Democrats praising a Christian? Never. But the Dems at Politico sure do in this piece: Politico is already touting him as the next governor. Democrat strategist David Axelrod, Cali governor Newsome and pro-tranny Obozo Education Secretary Arne Duncan cheered. That's a solid an endorsement of shitty Dem politics as one could imagine.
One of the three (article is badly written) told fluffer Adam Wren
“The thing that warms my heart the most is people who say, ‘I’m an atheist, agnostic, or I left the church or I left religion. But this is the kind of Christianity I can believe in.’”
Oh, you bet. When a Democrat strategist says "This is the kind of Christianity I can believe in," you can be absolutely certain it's not Christianity as any non-Democrat understands it.
The Dems are playing a cunning strategy. This guy is 34, freshman state rep, but already the fellators at Politico are touting him as the next governor. Quick example of the gush:
Talarico is something of a theological Clark Kent; the back cab of his truck is his phone booth, the place where he changes from jeans into a suit, transforming from a seminary student into a state legislator.
Many young Americans won't get the allusion to "Clark Kent" and "his phone booth:" The fictional Clark Kent was the everyday disguise of Superman; the phone booth was where he changed into Superman. Wow, writer Adam Wren earning whatever the Democrats are paying him for propaganda.
Check this pic:
You've never seen a Democrat propaganda outlet carefully depicting Christianity in a positive way--until now. Pictures of their hero walking into seminary class? Pics of hymnals in a pew? Pics of a cross? And finally a pic of their golden boy with the caption
Texas state rep James Talarico flips a page in the New Oxford Annotated Bible during a New Testament class at the Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary.
Seriously? Showing a pic of their golden boy turning a page of a Bible? Yep. And note how careful Adam Wren was to get a pic of their boy actually turning a page of a Bible! And the editors at Politico were so eager to make readers see their boy as a Christian that they actually included a caption naming the edition of the Bible and telling readers he was doing this at a seminary. The captions even tell readers what kind of truck he drives--twice!
It's as utterly, absurdly out of character for Politico as seeing a pig working a slide rule.
More gushing from propagandist Adam Wren and the editors at Politico:
He grew up the son of a single mother, going to a Presbyterian church that Rev. Jim Rigby had turned into a refuge for progressive Christians in Austin. Rigby began ordaining gay and lesbian clergy in the 1990s...>>
Fluffer Wren even tells you what brand of boot this totally authentic Texan Christian wears.
Remember I noted earlier that the Christianity Politico is praising is very likely not what most Christians would recognize? Sure enough, Politico just explained the phrase "This is a Christianity I can believe in:"
["Progressive Rev. Rigby] even invited Talarico to deliver his first sermon at the church last fall. Talarico chose the subject of abortion — not exactly a topic you’d expect a pastor to tackle. “Did they teach you in Sunday school that Jesus Christ himself was a radical feminist,” he asked parishioners...
That was in the Sermon on the Mount, right? Or was it one of the Ten Commandments? According to Politico and Talarico, radical feminism is one of the key teachings of Christianity.
He supports the ghastly new way to steal elections called "ranked choice voting," and expanding Medicaid to make the government run all medical care--since it works so well in Canada and the U.K., eh?
You really need to read the whole article to see how fawning it is. And it's not until the end of the very long, gushing, fawning piece that we learn that Talarico learned "what worked and what didn't" when he advised Beto O'Rourke on debate prep in the latter's run for governor.
Ah, now it all makes sense, eh? With the help of the Mainstream Media, the Democrats were convinced they had the Texas governor's race in the bag with the lanky, faux-authentic Beto. Who can forget the carefully-posed cover of Vanity Fair, and the same gushing, slobbering prose inside? But Beto pushed some positions Texas voters didn't like, such as gun confiscation.
The Democrats learned from the loss, and Talarico is the result: Where the Mainstream Media said nothing about Beto and religion, Politico makes sure readers know Talarico identifies as a Christian, and should graduate from seminary just in time to run for governor. Of course they also note that he openly pushes for gay clergy and socialism. Don't want to scare Dem voters. And where Beto married into wealth, Talarico was raised by a single mom. Check.
He checks all the boxes for the Dems. I predict that after winning the governorship he'll vault right from there to the White House. After all, he checks all the right boxes.
Say, does this remind you of another magic Democrat candidate who came from nowhere, no experience to speak of, used corrupt connections to get his opponents disqualified from the ballot and became preznit just four years after popping onto the national stage when he gave the keynote address at the Dem national convention in 2004?
And sure enough, veteran Democratic operative Tony Coelho told fluffer Wren that Talarico should be considered for a speaking slot at the DNC’s convention next year.
Unlike the GOP, the Dems learn from losses. Talarico is the result.
