Democrats vs. conservatives on the issues

When the Democrats want to con conservatives into supporting one of their ghastlly policies, they have a famliar play in their book: They bleat "After all, we're all in this together, right?"

And like clockwork the Party's propaganda arm--the Lying Mainstream Media--immediately pushes that from every outlet.  And voters fall for it every time, cuz it *sounds SO good!*  "We're all on the same team here, right?  One big, happy family!"  It's so reassuring, so comforting.

Except it's horseshit.  Democrats and conservatives actually disagree on virtually everything critical to the future of this nation.  Dems invoke the clever plea "After all, we're all in this together" only when they need to get Republicans to sell out the interests of conservatives in the service of "one big happy family."  Which happens every time.

To show the falsehood of the Dem claim that we really need to unify under their policies, let's see if we can agree on what a majority of the members of the two groups believe.

Topic: unlimited, unvetted immigration:

Dems: Love it.

Conservatives:  It's a guaranteed disaster, and is already easily seen as such.  Yet you continue keeping the border open.

Abundant, reliable, affordable energy:

Dems: We only want wind and solar.  No gas, oil or coal cuz "global warming."  No new hydro, because it dams scenic rivers!  No nuclear cuz too dangerous.  Policies that cause the U.S. to produce less gas and oil are good, and won't increase prices.  Even if they did increase, that's good, because it will force consumers to buy electric cars and other goods that use less energy.

Conservatives: We need oil, gas, coal and nuclear.  We'd love more hydroelectric if Dems would allow it, but you won't.

Legalizing all recreational drugs:

Dems:  Absolutely for it.  See, making some drugs illegal disproportionately harms African-Americans, since they do most of the selling.

Conservatives:  People who sell non-prescription fentanyl or meth or heroin should be locked up for 20 years or so.  (We've given up on pot because you've succeeded in convincing Americans that it's just peachy.)

Schools pushing transgenderism on students:

Dems:  We totally support this.  See, your kids need to be taught to be more "inclusive and tolerant."  Also that gender is arbitrary and you can really, truly change your sex by using drugs and surgery.  "It's Science!"

Conservatives:  Kids under 18 make stupid decisions, so "transitioning" shouldn't be allowed below that age.  Once someone reaches 18 they're perfectly welcome to take massive doses of cross-sex hormones and cut off anything they want.  But in any case, NO school staff or resources should be used to urge kids to "transition."

"Universal Basic Income:"

Dems:  For it.  See, some people can't make it on welfare, so they need more.  Then more after that.  It's Science!

Conservatives:  Opposed.  We already have enough able-bodied people who've decided they'd rather live on welfare than work for a living.  UBI would make that much worse.

Releasing people caught on camera assaulting or raping someone, without requiring them to post bail:

Dems: "Great plan, cuz requiring people to post cash bail to get out of jail before trial is obviously unfair, since the poor often can't post it, while the rich can."

Conservatives:  Allowing virtually all perps to walk out of jail without posting bail makes it inevitable that some won't appear for trial.  Plus you're putting thugs back on the street where they can rob, assault, mug and rape again before trial--if they bother to show up for it.

Right of private citizens to bear arms:

Dems: Oppose.  "OMG we have FAR too many pipo being killed by *gunz!*  If we make it illegal for civilians to own gunz, folks won't be able to have any, so those with ...um..."anger-management syndrome" won't be able to shoot others.  All shootings by civilians will stop, just as we've always said.  After all, people obey laws."

Conservatives:  Ah, I see.  Just like laws against illicit drugs solved the problem of people selling and taking illicit drugs, eh?  My guns have never killed anyone.  People kill others using guns.  People pull the trigger.  If you think gun-control laws work, why is the rate of civilian shootings so high in Chicago?

Allowing bio males to use girls' facilities and compete against bio females in sports:

Dems:  Absolutely good.  How many times do we have to tell you deplorable hicks, "trans women *are* women."  So it's UNFAIR to make trans women use male facilities.  You wanna be FAIR, right?  Same for sports: you deplorables want to "prevent students from participating in school sports."  That's cruel and...*unfair.*  Besides, what difference does it make if girls can't win first place when competing against other...girls?  Cuz girls competing agains other...girls...is totally fair, right?

Conservatives:  That's a very clever argument.  Except males claiming to be girls are NOT women.  They're mentally ill males.  Fairness demands that they NOT be allowed to compete against bio girls.

Deficit spending

Dems:  We need it in order to do all the things our wonderful leaders need to do.  There's no danger to being $32 Trillion in debt!  You dumb hicks think those numbers mean something, but they don't.  You think the government is like a family, and can't continue to spend more money than it makes, but governments don't obey those silly rules.

Conservatives:  That's nuts.  We're on the brink of paying more in *interest* on the national debt than we spend on defense.  Yet every year the debt continues to increase.  It's not sustainable.  And we agree that shitty RINOs vote for the same moronic, unneeded programs as the Dems, year after year.
