Thoughts on Dems newest push for "gun control" (leading to confiscation)

"I believe the Second Amendment is, in order of importance, the first amendment. It is our First Freedom, the right that protects all the others.

Among freedom of speech, of the press, of religion, of assembly, of redress of grievances, it is the first among equals. It alone offers the ability to live without fear.  Without the right to keep and bear arms, a tyrannical government can take away all the other ‘rights’ you think you have.

Now either you believe that, or you don’t.  You must decide. Because there is no such thing as a free nation where the police and military are allowed to have guns but individual citizens aren't.  Such an approach works well for tyrants, but not for ordinary citizens.

Our Revolution began when a king sent his soldiers to confiscate the people’s guns. They didn’t succeed.  But now they're about to try again.

The Founding Fathers wrote the Second Amendment precisely for this Obama/Biden "occupation government."  They smelled the totalitarian stench of these thugs coming from two and a half-centuries ago.

They don't want "gun control," or else they'd enforce the thousands of laws already on the books to imprison murderers, muggers and robbers.  What they want is to disarm law-abiding citizens, leaving them at the mercy of thugs who will continue to have outlawed guns.
