Democrat mayor uses "covid relief funds" to open a homeless shelter specifically limited to LGBTQs. Not legal, but who cares?

The black female mayor of Washington DC, Muriel Bowser, has used federal funds from a Covid relief act (the "American Rescue Plan Act") to fund a homeless shelter for LGBTQ people.

Not a "covid treatment facility."  A homeless shelter specifically limited to LGBTQ people.

The shelter opened its doors on Thursday and Bowser attended a ribbon cutting at the building.

Now, I'm pretty sure the fund given to states for "covid relief" said the money was to be spent on that, not just anything a mayor or governor wanted to spend it on.  But not only won't the black, female mayor be charged, no one will even utter a single word of criticism, cuz no pol or Media talking head wants to risk angering the LGBT community, eh.

Once we were a nation of laws.  No longer.  But then you probably already knew that.
