"Things are NOT changing, citizen. Gasoline has ALWAYS cost $5. 25-year-olds have NEVER been able to buy a home

People have good memories of personal events, but poor recollections of events that don't seem--at the time--to have much direct impact on them.

As a result, when conditions in a society change slowly--which is normally the case--most people don't remember that conditions *now* are actually vastly different from what they were ten or 20 years ago.  And of course young Americans--younger than 25 or so--have almost no direct knowledge of anything that happened over a decade earlier, and must depend on schools (HA!) or older Americans to fill them in on how things were back then.

Thus lots of young Americans don't realize how much Leftists have taken away from Americans--and how much more they want to take away to make America the same as any other shithole country..

Examples abound:  When I was in highschool you could buy an old car for a couple of hundred bucks and have simple transportation.  Wasn't pretty or trendy but it worked.  Gas was 20 or 30 cents a gallon.  If you lived in flyover country or a small town, automobile insurance wasn't too terribly high.  

Now many young Americans can’t afford to buy a used car.  Some can't even afford gasoline.  There are many contributing factors but one certainty is that the Left doesn’t want Americans to drive.  Leftists claim the reason is that Americans driving are killing the climate.  For 20 years or so they screamed that that was "Global Warming"!!!!!  Then when people who actually knew science found the planet was NOT warming, they quickly, quietly switched the NAME of the problem to "climate change"--because that way anything that happens can be blamed on "climate change."

(Interestingly, proponents have never been willing to debate actual scientists on the question in a forum the Left doesn't control absolutely.  That should tell you something.)

Twenty years ago, 25-year-old newlyweds could afford a starter home. But now home prices are so high that without the help of parents, most 25-year-olds can't afford one.  Again, while there are many contributing factors, one constant is that Leftists claim to hate single-family homes in suburbs, and have been pushing hard to force people to live in high-rise apartments with a thousand immediate neighbors.

Of course the Left doesn't hate ALL single-family detached homes.  They don't utter a word of complaint about Obama's three mansions--because he's...um...uh..."virtuous."  Yeh, dat's it.  Instead the Left demands that YOU and your kids live in big apartment blocks.  Cuz...land use.  Energy efficient,

At least that's the alleged reason.  

Why doesn't Obozo lead by example, eh?  Cuz he's special.  Just like Pelosi and Hilliary.

Until the recent bidinflation, if you lived in flyover country you could buy hamburger or chicken for around three bucks a pound.  Not anymore, of course.  And it's gonna get worse, because the Left wants Americans to eat less meat.  See, cows and chickens require food--often grain or corn--and it takes more calories to feed animals than if the grain or corn was eaten by humans.  So it's "less efficient."  And the Left is all about efficiency, see.  Unless it's them.

But wait...I thought we had plenty of cow and chicken food in the U.S.  If that's true, why should the Left care if Americans want to eat beef or chicken, eh?

You should ask 'em.  Don't be surprised if the "answer" they spout makes no sense.  You may even hear that cows pass gas--methane--and that methane is (wait for it)...killing the planet by globull worming.  Yes, they're serious.

Of course fabulous steak will still be available, but at a price you can't afford.  When most ranchers and feedlots are put out of business by punitive, economically ruinous "rules," steak will be at least $40 a pound.  For the rich, no problem.  Hell, one of the favorite meals for Emperor Obozo the First was called "Wagyu beef," at $100 per pound.  I'm not kidding.  Look it up.

He could (and can) afford it, as can all the members of the World Economic Forum--the folks who say you should eat insects because they're so inexpensive.  While they eat steak.  Hmmm...

The same plan is true for every policy of the Left.  All the economic misery you're just beginning to experience is totally, deliberately planned, by them, to destroy the middle-class.

Of course I don't expect my liberal friends to believe that. It will take historians another 50 years or so to see the obvious pattern.  The only reason you don't see it is that you get all your "newz" (which is designed to look like "news" but is total bullshit) from the Monolithic Mainstream Media.

But wait:  Why would any government want to destroy the middle class?  They're the folks who power the economy with their spending (simply cuz the middle-class has been a very large group).  They also do almost all the work more complex than flipping burgers.

The reason is that middle-class folks are the only people who might fight back against the Left's takeover.  The poor will do as the rulers demand so they can get government "freebies."  The rich will have enough money to live comfortably regardless of the rules--and wouldn't have the balls or the incentive to get their hands dirty by fighting anyway.

Young Americans, and naive older Americans, think that last sentence is just a conspiracy theory. They can't believe Leftists would want to destroy our way of life.  That's because both groups think the Left is like the rest of us, with the same goals.  No.  Not even close.

Too many Republicans think the problem is biden, harris, schumer, pelosi, China Mitch and that RINO plant McCarthy.  While they're all part of the left's team, the problem is entire Democrat party--the party that has learned to loot the treasury to "give" voters the supposedly "free stuff" that keeps the recipients voting Democrat.

If you think replacing biden or schumer or pelosi will get the Left to change its goals, methods or policies, you're too naive to breathe.
