After regime finally issues official "memo" admitting the policy, Federal judge says policy violates the law
Last September the toady biden hand-picked to head the ludicrously-misnamed "Department of Homeland Security," Alejandro Mayorkas, issued a "memo" DECREEING that his minions were no longer to arrest or deport aliens for being in the country illegally.
Of course this had been unwritten policy of the biden regime since it took power, but the memo represented the first written evidence of the policy that had been in place all along. This is a classic move: quietly order a policy that breaks U.S. law, but do it verbally, with no written evidence. Then see how much pushback you get.
It was cunning, because biden's handlers knew that with no written evidence of the new policy--no paper trail--if Americans screamed bloody murder the regime could simply deny that it had issued any such new policy. And no one would be able to prove they were lying (not that being caught in a lie would make any difference to Dem voters).
"If we get away with it, we then make it a written policy to claim the credit. If we don't we deny ever saying it." Brilliant. Right out of the Democrat playbook.
In January Mayorkas announced the new, illegal policy, telling one network "We have fundamentally changed immigration enforcement in the interior," "For the first time ever, our policy explicitly states that a non-citizen's unlawful presence in the United States will not, by itself, be a basis for the initiation of an enforcement action.
(His qualifier "...in the interior" was just word-salad to make naive voters think there was a different policy at the border. There wasn't. The policy was for the entire country.)
In other words, having gotten little pushback for allowing two MILLION illegals to enter the U.S. in a single year, the regime was now ready to announce this as official policy.
The regime relied on the fact that if anyone was gutsy enough to sue the regime for violating U.S. law, the regime could either steer the case to a corrupt liberal judge, or could bullshit enough to stall any injunction that might be issued while the regime appealed.
This is exactly how Obozo got "DACA" through. (DACA= "Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals") Violated U.S. law, illegal as hell, but he got away with it because his regime was able to steer cases to friendly judges.
Now a federal judge has ruled that the biden regime can't defy valid U.S. immigration law, which ostensibly bars any president from simply allowing every illegal to freely enter the U.S.
Wow, who could have seen that one coming, eh?.
The opinion agreed that the Executive Branch can waive enforcement of the law as to a particular individual, but not for every illegal at once, "in contravention of Congress’s detention mandate."
Now, this is certainly good news. But if you think the regime will obey this order, you don't know the Dems. And sure enough, the judge "stayed" his own ruling for seven days to give the Biden administration time to appeal. The regime will now steer the case to a hand-picked "panel" of three judges on an Appeals court, who will rule 2-1 to overturn the lower-court ruling, and the lawbreaking regime laughs and opens more champagne.
If you still think the regime gives a damn aboug obeying "laws" you're too naive to breed. The Dems will do whatever they want, regardless of temporary legal impediments. And you can't even impeach Porridgebrain. You voted Democrat, and your kids will suffer the consequences of your stupidity.
