Local paper interviews chief of police of Uvalde school system. Wow.
The chief of police for the Uvalde school system says he didn't know he was in charge, and that he intentionally
ditched his two police radios seconds after arriving at the elementary school.
Arredondo said one of the radios had a "whiplike antenna" that would hit his side as he ran.
He claimed the other radio was "likely to fall off his tactical belt."
It just gets better and better.
Put incompetent people in situations where competence is never needed and they do just fine.
By contrast--a fatal one--when a regime or voters put incompetent people in situation where everything--including survival--depends on competence, and you get an absolute clusterfuck.
In the combat units of our military, and in most police units, competence is sought, and prized. In politics and big corporations the reverse is true.
