If a Republican traveled to DC planning to assassinate a liberal SC justice it would be the Only Story for two weeks

Suppose a Republican, angry at a liberal draft opinion leaked by an as-yet-unnamed person on the Supreme Court, was angry enough to travel all the way from California to DC, and planned to assinate a liberal justice. Suppose he took a taxi to the exact address of the target, thanks to a radical conservative group who had posted the justice's address on the internet.

Suppose the would-be assassin was found in possession of a popular semi-auto handgun and extra loaded magazines, and a hammer, metal punch (for knocking out door locks), rope and other tools.

How do you think the Lying Mainstream Media would have reacted, eh?

They would have made the story front-page news for two weeks, leading every even newscast on both the broadcast alphabets and cable.  We would have been treated to every.  Single.  Detail. of the guy's life and history.

Now...if you pay attention to current events (hmmm...) you may have heard that a Democrat guy from California traveled all the way to DC and was found near Kavanaugh's house, admitting that he was angry about the leaked draft of the Roe case and was planning to assassinate Kavanaugh.  Because if we assume the court is now 5-4 for repealing Roe, taking out just one conservative would cause a tie vote, preventing Roe from being overturned

Democrats: "Awww, he wasn't really serious!" "The poor man is mentally ill, so he shouldn't be prosecuted.  After all, he didn't actually shoot his scary "weapon of war," right?

It'll be interesting to see how fast this story vanishes without a trace.

It's also gonna be interesting to see if acts like this can get just one of the five si-called conservative justices to change their vote.  And my prediction is that one or more will claim to have had second thoughts.

I note that Nancy Pelosi blocked a Republican bill to put cops around the homes of justices.  Gosh, why would Nancy do that, eh?
