Leftist website notes Fauci predicted a coming pandemic. Did he do anything to spur govt to prepare?
Just days before Trump was inaugurated, Dr. Anthony Fauci--the guy your Lying Media thinks is a great genius--gave a speech at Georgetown University Medical Center predicting a pandemic, saying more needed to be done to prepare for it.
“There is no question that there will be a challenge to the coming administration in the arena of infectious diseases,” he said. “History has told us definitively that [outbreaks] will happen. It is a perpetual challenge. It is not going to go away. We’re extraordinarily confident... that we're going to see this in the next few years.”
Fauci ticked off a list of measures needed to prepare for such a crisis, including creating and strengthening global health surveillance systems, as well as public health and health care infrastructure; practicing transparency and honest communication with the public.
But despite Fauci’s early warnings and calls for action, reports persist of mass shortages of supplies in hospitals and medical centers.
So if Fauci knew a pandemic was "inevitable," and he was being paid to head of one of the national agencies charged with being prepared for infectious diseases, *what the hell did he do to spur the government to do whatever he thought was needed to prepare for the coming pandemic?
Answer: nothing at all. How do we know that? Because if he'd made even one recommendation to the Trump administration about stockpiling more X, and they'd denied that recommendation, the Lying Mainstream Media would have had that story in 3-inch tall headline for a week. "Stupid Orange President ignores his experts!!!"
Fauci has also expressed exasperation over the efforts to stem the tide of COVID-19, the disease caused by the new coronavirus. He complained that some states hadn't ordered a lockdown to help prevent the virus from spreading.
He's demanded that EVERY state be locked down, even if it has only a dozen cases. But the common flu kills an AVERAGE of 70,000 Americans every year. Do we lock everyone into their homes for six weeks for the flu? Of course not. No one in the media even notices.
Fauci is a corrupt (working for a pharma company pushing a vaccine), self-promoting fraud who was negligent in seeing something like this coming but doing nothing to prepare for it--when that was his exact job.
