The letter from Obama's DOJ and Dept of Ed that demanded schools let boys claiming to be girls use girls' bathroom

Democrat politicians love the transgender movement.  They love it so much that in May of 2016 two departments in the Obama administration--the laughably-misnamed "Department of Justice" and the Dept. of Education--jointly sent a letter to every school system in the country demanding that boys claiming to be girls, or vice-versa, be allowed to use the bathroom and locker room of whatever "gender" they claimed to be.

Of course if you follow politics (as my liberal Dem friends claim to) you undoubtedly knew this.  I'm writing about it because you really, really need to see how the cunning, conniving, lying rat-bastards who infested the Obama crew--and continue to man the Deep State's "resistance"--unilaterally re-defined a law to accomplish what they wanted.

The letter is beautifully crafted--so smooth and persuasive that at first pass you'd swear it was all perfectly legal.  You need to see how they did it because it wasn't the first time people who want to f up this wonderful country did this, and you can be sure they'll try the same thing again.  Cuz it works.

The letter starts with a soothing and totally incontrovertible statement, like "All good Americans like clean air and water," or "All good Americans like freedom and justice."  In this case the first sentence is

Schools across the country strive to create and sustain inclusive, supportive, safe, and nondiscriminatory communities for all students.

Hey, who could possibly argue with that, right?  The second sentence is the ostensible reason for the letter:

"In recent years, we have received an increasing number of questions from parents, teachers, principals, and school superintendents about civil rights protections for transgender students."

Ah.  "Civil rights protections."  It may take you a minute to see what they just did there:  They've implied that the civil rights of transgender students are or may possibly be violated.  And of course "All good Americans support identical civil rights for everyone," right?  Of course you do!

Next sentence:

"Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 (Title IX) and its implementing regulations prohibit sex discrimination in educational programs and activities operated by recipients of Federal financial assistance."

Now, even though very few Americans have ever actually read Title IX, and thus have no idea what it actually says, most Americans have heard about it, and know it has something to do with not allowing any entity receiving federal money to discriminate on the basis of "sex."  So far, nothing to be concerned about.

Now comes the command phrase--and we're still in the first paragraph:

This letter summarizes a school’s Title IX obligations regarding transgender students and explains how the U.S. Department of Education (ED) and the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) evaluate a school’s compliance with these obligations. 

"Obligations regarding transgender students"--as defined by what law?  Here's the first sentence of the second paragraph:

ED and DOJ (the Departments) have determined that this letter is significant guidance. [Itals in original--it's a "term of art" that means "you must follow this as if it was law"] This guidance does not add requirements to applicable law, but provides information and examples to inform recipients...

This is the heart of their big lie, because this letter brazenly redefines "sex"--and thus the effect of what Title IX demands.  The rat-bastards at Obama's DOJ and Education Departments wanted to expand the law to accomplish something they wanted, so they simply...redefined "sex."

Under the heading "Compliance with Title IX" we see this:

As a condition of receiving Federal funds a school agrees that it will not exclude, separate, deny benefits to, or otherwise treat differently on the basis of sex any person in its educational programs.... The Departments treat a student’s gender identity as the student’s sex for purposes of Title IX and its implementing regulations. This means that a school must not treat a transgender student differently from the way it treats other students of the same gender identity. 

And there it is:  "The Departments treat..."  And with this sentence a law passed by congress is re-defined to do something not a single member of congress ever anticipated or contemplated.  No member of congress ever voted on this new definition.  The leftists just did it.

And as much controversy as this new command was sure to generate, if you think they would have tried this without getting Obama's explicit approval first, I have a bridge I'd like to sell ya.

Finally:  This same bureaucratic re-defining sex and "rights" is how Medicare (i.e. taxpayers) now pays for sex-change operations for 70-year-olds.  And how MedicAID--free medical care for people under a certain income--will do the same thing.  And liberal federal judges have upheld both decisions.

In our "enlightened" society today, bureaucrats have ruled--and judges have agreed--that it's now everyone's civil right to force taxpayers to pay for sex-change operations.
