Senate resolution commending military for Iranian strike; Do ya think Democrats supported it?
Earlier this week Sen. Ted Cruz and 42 of his senate GOP colleagues introduced a resolution commending American military and intelligence community members who
helped conduct the airstrike that killed Iran's chief terror mastermind.
The resolution is structurally identical to a 2011 senate resolution commending then-president Barack Obama (pbuh) for the operation that killed Osama bin Laden. All 100 senators--including all Republicans--supported the resolution praising Obama for (allegedly) ordering the strike on bin Laden.
Fast-forward just 9 years: In a statement introducing the current resolution Cruz said
Hahahahahahaha! Yeah, didn't think I'd be able to pull that off without laughing! Cuz I'm sure you'll be just shocked to learn that in reality...
Not a single Democratic senator has supported the resolution praising our military forces and intelligence community members who helped the successful strike that killed the Iranian terror leader.
Wow.
Well, maybe a few--thinking about the next election, no doubt--will decide to break Chuck Schumer's party discipline and support it before the final vote.
