Hollywood actor demands that Italy admit 160 "migrants;" Italian minister suggests the actor take them in

Two days ago actor Richard Gere popped up in Italy to urge the Italian government to allow 160 migrants on a people-smuggling vessel to be allowed to land in Italy.

Of course the leftist actor spiced up his act by accusing the Italian government of "demonising people," before predictably comparing the Italian position to that of Donald Trump.

"This has to stop everywhere on this planet now. And it will stop if we say stop," he said, before adding that he "only wanted to help people."  [Who the f is this "we," asshole?]

Whereupon Italian interior minister Matteo Salvini made an excellent, logical suggestion to Gere:
"Given this generous millionaire is voicing concern for the fate of the migrants [on the vessel in question], we thank him: he can take back to Hollywood, on his private plane, all the people aboard and support them in his villas. Thank you Richard!"

Full story here.  And if you click on the link, do read the comments, almost all of which were asking Gere to put his money where his fat mouth was and charter a commercial jet to take the 160 "migrants" to California and place them in his home and those of his like-minded liberal friends.

A spokesperson for Gere had no comment when asked if the actor planned to act on Salvini's suggestion.
