Nike endorser Colin Kaepernick sues Trump demanding no federal funds be used to celebrate July 4th

Washington D.C.-- Today former NFL quarterback and Nike partner Colin Kaepernick sued the Trump administration in federal court demanding that no government funds be used for any July 4th celebrations, and demanding $100 billion in compensatory damages for emotional distress.

The suit claims that celebrating July 4th causes "great emotional suffering" to African-Americans becaue it celebrates an event that occurred in 1776, when slavery was still legal in the British colonies that eventually became the United States.

Just two days ago Kaepernick got Nike to cancel a new sneaker because it was adorned with an image of the so-called "Betsy Ross flag" that would later become the U.S. flag.  Nike had already shipped tens of thousands of pairs to its stores but quietly told stores to return the shoes after Kaepernick complained.

In light of the former quarterback's latest lawsuit a reporter jokingly asked if Kaepernick planned to sue to bar private citizens from celebrating the 4th of July, on the same grounds as his current suit, since no government funds would be involved.  The Nike spokesman replied, "My attorneys are considering it."

In related news, Democrat presidential candidate Julian Castro tweeted
I was glad to see Nike pull the Nike Betsy Ross American flag shoes.

Finally, the Betsy Ross flag was given a very prominent display at the inauguration of a particularly evil, anti-freedom president within the memory of living Americans.  Oooh, who was it?
   Reagan?
   GHW Bush?
   GW Bush?
Donald Trump?  Yeah, must be da eeeebil OrangeManBad!!!!  See?  Here he is down near the bottom of the pic:

WAIT, something's wrong!  That doesn't look like Trump.  What's going on here???

Yes, snowflakes, the awful, painful, slavery-celebrating Betsy Ross flag was used by none other than Emperor B.H. Obama, at his second inauguration!

Wait, didn't the faabulous Kaepernick just tell us that the Ross flag was a symbol of hate, pain, slavery and everything else the Left claims has ever been  wrong with this country?

Why yes, yes he did.  And his spineless, "woke" employer, Nike, agreed.

But...but...but...IF THAT'S TRUE, how could the our wonderful black emperor/president have displayed two huge copies of it at his 2nd inauguration and NO ONE SAID A WORD of complaint??

Oooh, say, now that you mention it, that IS just a tiny, tiny bit...odd, eh?  Almost as if there are two standards, and that Dems can do anything without the media calling em on it.

Either that or Colin Kaepernick is full of crap.  As is every Democrat who agreed with him.

ESAD, lying rat-bastards.  Oh, and happy 4th of July, ya clueless morons.

Perhaps the scariest part of this whole travesty is that it happened so astonishingly quickly:  Six years ago Obama used two huge Betsy Ross flags and no one thought a thing about it.  But now, after a single moronic snowflake complained, the entire "virtue-signalling establishment" now agrees that the same flag is now offensive...hateful...off limits.

"Progressives" have decreed that this is now the Revealed Wisdom, and enthusiastically endorsed it  as if it were the word of God.  Except, of course, that they don't believe God exists.

Asked about this total reversal of the flag's virtue, famed Democrat presidential candidate Beto O’Rourke (whose campaign, you may remember, was launched by a cover story in Vogue) said,
“I think it’s really important to take into account the impression that kind of symbol would have for many of our fellow Americans. [We should] respect the decision Nike made and [be] grateful for the conversation.”
