Leftist website that blasted Declaration: "The world would be better off if the U.S. hadn't won WW2"

The same leftist writer for the America-hating website Vox who claimed that our Declaration of Independence is racist, sexist and hateful is about to publish a new piece:

"The world would be better off if the U.S. hadn't won WW2"

See, Dylan Matthews claims Adolf Hitler was actually a socialist and a visionary, as were Italy's Benito Mussolini and the leaders of Japan's military.

Although this claim sounds far-fetched, in the case of WW2 Germany that claim is supported right in the name of the political party Mr. Hitler founded: the NSDAP ("National Socialist German Workers' Party").

See?

And as Chancellor of Germany, Mr. Hitler tried mightily to ensure peace in Europe, by signing a non-aggression agreement with fellow progressives and peace-loving visionaries in the USSR.  Under this "peace pact" the two peace-loving nations pledged not to attack the other.

How much more of a demonstration does anyone need?

But tragically (though predictably, according to Matthews), capitalist agents wrecked  this wonderful effort by tricking the too-trusting German leader into believing his Russian allies were about to attack, thus triggering a war between the two peace-loving nations.

Matthews contends the U.S. should never have gone to war against the misunderstood Mr. Hitler, but that "right-wing warmongers" in the U.S. tricked Japanese forces into carrying out a mock attack on an imperialist U.S. navy base on a small island in the Pacific, then fanned the fires of white nationalism to demand that the U.S. retaliate.

FDR tried to keep the U.S. from entering the war but the extreme-right-wing was eventually able to force his hand.

Because the U.S. entered WW2, the end of that war marked the start of 75 years of oppression of innocent Germans and Japanese by the horrible Americans. In fact many economists believe both those nations would be far more advanced today if not for U.S. oppression.  For example, Matthews claims that U.S. oppression delayed the development of far more fuel-efficient Japanese and German cars, leading to deadly delays in reducing CO2 emission.

In short, according to Vox and Matthews the U.S. should never have entered WW2.

[Okay, obv. sarc.  But after Vox and Matthews blasted the Declaration of Independence as racist, sexist and hateful, wailing that the world would be better off if we hadn't defeated the Axis powers in WW2 is no more far-fetched.]
