CO2 levels, as measured every hour by an observatory in Hawaii. Wait, what's that...?

"OMG, carbon dioxide is killing Mother Earth, and all life on it!!!!"

Okay, now that we've gotten the daily CO2 scream out of the way, let's look at what the "global warming"--sorry, "climate change" gurus are reporting as absolute truth.  Take a look at the graph below, created by the totally honest, totally unbiased PhD's at the Scripps Institute.

Notice anything odd about the information above?  Well, take a look at the two black dots.  According to the legend at the top right, these are the "daily averages."  But if the levels are only measure hourly, and if you can count at least a dozen light gray dots ("hourly average") in the valleys, how can the daily average be damn near the same as the top of the plot?

You aren't supposed to ask that, citizen.  Cuz, reasons.

See, you just don't understand how they compute an "average" of CO2 levels.  Hint:  It's not just adding up all the readings and dividing.  Cuz...well, CO2 is so dangerous, and SO sneaky, that we have to use more...sophisticated methods.

And then our gallant PhDs have to fight off all the secret agents hired by Exxon and Shell and BP who are trying to sabotage the readings to show that CO2 isn't rising.  In fact a fire-fight last month between the PhDs and the black-clad pro-CO2 saboteurs resulted in over 20 casualties!  You just didn't hear about it because Exxon controls the media!

Well, at least they control the media every other month.  They alternate with BP.  Cuz, fairness.
