Berkeley city council bans "manhole’ because sexist; must now be called ‘maintenance holes’

To the idiots on the Democrat-ruled city council of Berkeley, California, the absolute most critical problem on their agenda is...wait for it...re-naming "manhole covers" to avoid offending...well, members of the snowflake squad.

So that's what they did:  All terms that may ever appear in Berkeley business or on city signs or on streetsigns or in books or...well, you get the idea...are now to be re-formed to omit the letters MAN.

So from now on in the Peoples' Republic of Berkeley, the offensive term "manhole cover" is hereby replaced with "maintenance cover."

Thank God we dodged that bullet, eh citizen?

But as you could have guessed, the new rule was immediately challenged by the leader of Code Pink, who said the new term was sexist because it implied that holes are in some way less reliable than other shapes, since they are associated with the word "maintenance."  She said her organization would sue under Title IX if the council didn't agree to change the name to "round covers."
