House defeats impeachment resolution 332-95. But why did Pelosi let this go to a floor vote?
Those of you who are busy raising your kids, or holding down a job, or studying, or whatever, to follow the idiotic antics of the Democrat-ruled House may have missed this, but... yesterday the House voted on a Democrat motion to impeach the president.
This motion was introduced by a stellar thinker from Houston, Al Green. Here's the esteemed Rep. Green:
The motion was defeated by a vote of 332 to 95--a result Nancy Pelosi had to have known would happen.
So why would Pelosi have allowed a floor vote on a measure she knew would be defeated?
Simple: The resolution was introduced by Al Green--who, unless I'm badly mistaken, is black. Pelosi knew that if she didn't let the resolution go to a floor vote, she'd lose the support of the "congressional black caucus." Since many Dem members already seem to be wavering in their support for Pelosi, she didn't want to risk a further loss of support.
Oh, and here's how the NY Times spun the defeat of the measure to damage Trump:
Didja get that? Green's introduction of the impeachment resolution, and the floor vote, were all Trump's fault, due to his "attacks" on the poor innocent gang of four (which the Lying Mainstream Media has claimed ad-nauseum was totally because of their color) and his use of "vicious language" in doing so.
The Media claims anyone who says "If you don't like our country, leave" is using vicious language.
Yeah, really.

The president brushed off the vote as a victory, and hours later...showed no signs of easing his attacks or toning down the vicious language that led to the impeachment attempt.
