In the U.S, something 500 years old is a big deal.  Yay, history!

The history of Sweden can be dated back 7000 years, to 5000 BC.  But now, thanks to left/liberals, the long history of Sweden is being thrown in the trash.  Leftists in the Swedish parliament have unanimously voted to transform Sweden into a multicultural society and opened the floodgates to mass immigration.

Since then it's become fashionable for the schools, the media and leftist politicians to openly denigrate Swedish history and culture.  Every major event and holiday in Sweden — Christmas, Easter and Midsummer — is greeted with mocking newspaper articles and television programs.

The previous prime minister of Sweden said “The original Swedish identity was just barbarism, and since then all progress has come from the outside.”

Does this sound familiar?  U.S. leftists constantly scream that "The U.S. has always been evil!"  And the result is the same:  Get the young and minorities and leftist whites to simply stop supporting the nation.

The leader of the opposition Social Democrat party, Mona Sahlin, proved her postmodern credentials when she said to a group of immigrants “I’ve often been asked, but I don’t know what Swedish culture is. I think what makes many Swedes so jealous of you immigrants is you have a culture, an identity, a history, something that binds you together.”

Nothing shows how successful this cunning campaign has been at dismantling Sweden than the hiring of that nation's "Minister of Culture and Democracy," Alice Bah Kuhnke^[10], daughter of an immigrant from Gambia.  And typical of the Left, Kuhnke wasted no time appointing a Pakistani immigrant (Qaisar Mahmood) chief of the country’s "Cultural Heritage Archive."

Wait, could it be that Mahmood was the most qualified person for that position, because he'd spent several years studying Swedish history and archeology?

Hahahahahahahaha!

Quite the opposite:  Mahmood has said he has never studied Sweden's archeology or culture.  But that wasn't a requirement for the job, since his new job is simply overseeing the destruction of Sweden’s historical and cultural heritage.  Construction projects often uncover Viking artifacts, which should be part of the nation's history.  But now many of the unearthed Viking artifacts are simply melted down as scrap.

Interestingly, while the Left screams that there's no such thing as Swedish culture, traditions or history, they were eager to declare Ramadan a Swedish tradition.

The Left in Sweden seems thrilled that a new, foreign culture with a very strong sense of identity is rapidly growing in their midst--one that doesn't suffer from the same existential angst as the Swedes.  And if you don't think the American Left wants exactly the same result, you haven't been paying attention.
